I have just bought world of warcraft.
Just so that I know, u guys are allience on azune server, is this correct?
I am thinking of starting with dwarf warrior, is this a really dumb choice or am I ok? I have read some guides as to classes and races and this apeals to me the most.
damn thing is that now I have bought it I can't play on it tonight! I have a darts team meating!

Probably a nice idea as t will (imo) is probably an easier class to grasp for your first MMO. When you start out give Jamoe a shout and ill create a new char, I havent played as a dwarf so might be good chance to start one. :)
I will probably set it up to night and have a quick look around (and probably die) but I wont have much time tonight

yup, I have several on both sides on Aszune.
However, it's only possible on PvE servers (such as Aszune) for PvP you're stuck with the side you pick (unless they've changed this recently)

lol the game has been released for over a year, thats all the extra work they have done since. Actualy doesnt sound like much.
u would have thought that they would put it inthe new games that they sell or at least put in another CD with the updates or resonably neer the updates!

well tonight I am fully intent on spending several hours playing if i can, im going to try to make it over to ironforge.
is there any ration at which bronze converts to silver and silver to gold in this game? there are a couple of things I need before I move on but it all requires silver and I can only find bronze in coldridge vally

100 silver = 1 gold

O dammit, its gunna take a while, i need about 3 or 4 silver!
at an average of 3 copper a kill that I was getting yesterday its guanna be a good hundred kills!
it won't take that long. Don't forget to sell the stuff the mobs drop. Loads of cash that way.

Pretty much all the npc vendors will buy the crap. As a rule, if the item text is grey then sell. If the text is white then it may be of value to another player so it is possibly worth checking before selling (though at a really low level, just sell) green and above are worth good money on the AH.
However, if you are going to use the AH, just sell. Don't buy until you're at least level 45 or you'll find that you'll never have any money and the stuff you do buy will be useless after a few levels. This advice is only good if it's your first character. Once you have a high level character and start a low level then you can kit out your low level with the high level supplying the goods / gold.

turned PC on at 5:45 when i got home i left the pc for 10 mins at dinner and that was it i finally turned pc off at midnight! the rest of the time was spent in WOW!

Worked your way into any parties yet Sheepy? At about that level you start to pick up some Quests which are better done in groups (they go quicker and it's easier to defeat the mob you need to kill). The party bit of the game is the best and from 5 person parties you get to 10 person raids and eventually 40 person raids :)
You got any Addons installed yet Sheepy? Makes the game go better. Check the other thread.

ive been on a couple of 3 person partys
one with a night elf hunter and a gnome who wasnt suited to melee but was trying to get stuk in so died!
the other was with 2 gnome mages completed 3 quests with them 2, the ones around the mine at gol:bolar that went very well as they just kept giving me armor and health with the occasional damage spell while i hacked away!
where can i get more tough jerkey/ apples/ healing potions cheap?
what addons are recomended i only want something simple to use maybe to help me with where things are! i tend to get lost

Total of about 7:30 -8 hours id guess to get this far, i believe that after lvl 10 it slows down a lot more, it took me about 2 hours to get to lvl 4 and the rest of that time to get to lvl 9.
I just want to have another big session in a group so that i can get up to lvl 11 so that i can use my shiny new axe!
also im just damn clever / sexy / amazingly talented (plz select as apropriate)

Not for WoW. I installed it on my PC and started playing at about 6:00 (when I got in after work, having left it patching during the day). I stopped playing at abot midnight/1am,, and I was lvl 9 by the time I stopped.

Took me about a month an a half to get bored of it, during which time i was like that. Now i have to twiddle my thumbs and wait for all my mates on teh server to hit my level so I can party with them instead of random people who turn out to be idiots 50% of the time.
Maybe I should make a char on Aszune, as Force9 are still making it sodding hard to play BF2...

Most RG1 L60s will be busy tonight (Blackwing Lair), but there may be some others online. If it's a night I'm not involved in a raid then I have not done the Deadmines quest at all yet with an alt, so would be interested in doing it.

Invites for our L60 SoG raids start at 19.15 server time (18.15 UK time) so I am guessing that there will be lots online from 18.00 UK time onwards. Places in the raid should be settled by about 18.20 UK time, so you'll be able to shout for party people at that point!
