Build (http://www.wow-europe.com/en/info/basics/talents/warlock/talents.html?45002035122010051135000000000000000550000100000000)
What about this build ?
imo it's for more aggro control with +DPS too, i'll do less dam bursts since i'll have no more interesting crits but the +10% dam will increase afflictions and courses too
the only thing i'll miss is the +20% range on SBs :(
To be honest you maybe gimping yourself a bit. The loss of improved SB is a big talent to give up. Obviously aggro control is imprtant and even when I go SM/Ruin I never pull aggro as I dont spam SB's, however when you are trying to take down a boss with 1 million + hp then you need to pull off big crits.
That said, for pvping this week I respected to Soulink and it doesn't half own in pvp, although I lost ruin, I still have improved SB and still have nice (1.5k) crits.
If you only try this once in WOW go Soulink, get high Shadow resistance (i get 293 with priest buff) , a couple HP pots and a healthstone. So much fun. I had 2 warriors a rogue and a shadow priest attacking me and still survived partly as I resisted Sakiba's fear 7 times in a row....very funny.
I will be keeping this build for the time being as obviously the 20% aggro reduction will come in handy. I do miss the big crits from both ruin and conflag though :(
well i never had improved SB, the mana reduction is way better imo since locks have something around 5% of crits after a MC run
and Demo spec is not what i want it's too boring u only have to press your finger on SB button the whole time, about PvP i don't do any so no point to have improved pets
well imo, youve got to prioritise what youre gonna do..
pvp or pve..
do you have fun more @pvp or @pve. and what about the rewards? sure pvp has good rewards, discount and bonuses.. but what about the pve rewards?
and regarding big crits, i dont see it that important from my view, steady damage is better overall..
lets explain, big crits means you risk getting aggro; which in turn risks you to be killed, thus we get less overall dps, and dont forget you should take a few seconds break after crits(loss of dps),
while if you dont crit that much you dont have to take much breaks and in the end you give more dps without that risk of getting aggro, getting killed, and also possibly wiping the raid
yeah, its a hard choice to make.. but as i said before.. you have to prioritise what youre devoting yourself to ;)
the only thing i'll mis with that build is 6yards in destruction spell range
I cant see it, but regardint the big crit topic:
If you get alot of critgear/build you crit alot, right? But if you get alot of +dmg gear you can do alot of dmg on each of the spells you cast, and when you crit, you crit higher because you have alot more base damage.
I cant see the build because the page cant load here but i presume you have MD?
it's SM without any talent in +% crit and ruin it's 31/9/11 or something like that
i am working on a 30/0/21 spec for my warlock (assuming ill ever get up to level 60 :P)
well it's a good DPS build but i won't go for it for 2 reasons
1) it's aggro machine build
2) some talents in demon should be put to be useful in raids
i noticed the agro bit allready, and i only have a limited ammount of talents and spell ranks so far. It would be no good in raids, but on the other hand as an alt i prob wont see much raiding anyway :) and w/ non MC gear the ammount of agro one would make would be reduced by a good chunk (due to lack of +dmg kit :P)
ofc for an alt it's a rly good build, realy good DPS spec
the only way to have more DPS is to have 31 or more in destruction tyer an use imolate/confligration + searing pain but u'll c your mana going from full to empty at the speed of light
Use an affliction/Conflag build :) 20/0/31 ^^,
That way you have alot of dmg in dots & drains. And you have some good base dmg with immolate,Sb's and conflag
it's what i said :P
ok question for officers now:
can i use this build ?
afaik it has all the improvement ragnarh likes so i dont see a problem, but if you get argo all the time your paying my repairbills :narnar:
ok i respeced now we'll c if i'm a genius or an idiot =P
Endo of my new build story =D
Toit build, will prob. fit you perfectly mate :)
I'd respecc, but i cant live without RUin, it makes my day when i play my lock :D
(just dont overagro!1)
If you want the biggest DPS but still retain some raid plus sides (IE intensity lols) try my build. Even with little equips it makes a huge difference. You do of course need to know which spells to cast in which order agaisnt which enemies with which pet out =] 7% crit (atm) also helps <3
but be weary, my build uses 30-40% mana per enemy if nothing crits, but if 2 spells crit, 5% mana =]
whats the point of speccing for dmg with ''sucky'' gear, when your`e in sog? ;)
MEH SHAMMY BUILD!!
http://www.wow-europe.com/en/info/basics/t...052300503020100 (http://www.wow-europe.com/en/info/basics/talents/shaman/talents.html?0000000000000005005202105023050052300503020100)
Stormstrike is quite possibly the best ever talent :o
But NS+ Enchancment = WIN! Natures swiftness lacks up for that "guaranteed 1 extra hit" , wont use the +20% voulnability thingy much anyways ;)
Dont forget about windfury weapon (chance on hit to hit an additional 2 times)
I didn't spec to damage when I joined SoG anyway. I started off as destruction, then went demonology, then affliction, then when I left Affinity, the period where I did lots of PVP, I went back to DPS, nightfall/conflagrate.
I now only have +212 spell damage, but because of a high crit rate, I can seriously stack damage.
I am currently working on getting lots and lots of Fire res, and more armour gear, so I may tank Onyxia xD
tried that allready, warlocks dont have enough mana regen to keep spamming shadowbolts for whole of the fight, and it takes to many innervates to keep the dmg going :P
