I've made the server a little more suitable for the new/insecure among you. Less hairy cars and shorter tracks. Y'all come won't you?

Slower/smaller cars are more fun imho, as opposed to the Pantera/GT40/911 etc.
Sound good Ron, how about a Thursday night?

Sure, which Thursday night?
Gonna give it a whirl in about 15 minutes, just installing the game :)
I tried to get on last night(3 of you on the server) but hadn't installed the right track!
I'd like to race with the 65 non-GT cars ie lotus, minis, alfas, falcons etc they are a bit more friendly - and this sounds like what your proposing on the server so I'll try and make it again.

See my guide to GTL link in the sticky section, see link to tracks to get.
Tonight, the password for GTL will mostly be ........mymates[/SIZE]
I thank you.
I should be there, post 9pm.
Sadly like a knobber I left my wheel at work, so will be on the gamepad.....all or nothing on the gas and brakes, so apologies for my undoubted crapness and unintentional rear ending should I perform like I did last night against the ai.
We have a house viewing tomorrow so I'm too busy tonight to jump on.
Hopefully get a chance come the weekend.
Benny you numpty, have you not heard of life hacks? ( i.e. leaving your car keys in the box so u cant leave without it :D)

Aye, I had to leave in a hurry though.
Still, got on tonight and enjoyed coming last repeatedly. Next time...
Hopefully I'll get on over the weekend, either late tomorrow or satureday evening (I'm on call so have no life)
Cheers gents/
Thanks to Ron and the dMr regs who suffered a n00b night for our benefit. Much appreciated and damn good fun.
It's sooooo good to know there's a game out there that Frenzy is crap at :D ;)
His quote this evening was ....
QuoteHey! This aint right. I normally pick up a new game and win.
:roflmao:
gonna buy a wheel soon...wheel soon...honest :P
It was a MOST enjoyable evening. Nobody 'suffered' anybody. Even got Dewey got on and I have to say, turned out half handy!
Good turnout and a good standard. Even Benny, who was struggling with a gamepad, made quite a good fist of it!
:D :D :D
As Doorman says, after months of saying I'll get on the server finally got on last night - and I'm glad I did - what a laugh, i'll definitely be back chaps :D
First race was funny - my pc has an earthing problem I need to get sorted - so it buzzes when using voip - so I didn't pee anyone off I use push-to-talk. However I inadvertently assigned the the push to talk key to the same one as the rev limiter!! Doh! I wandered what was going on... everytime I chatted my car would drop a few gears and slow down :roflmao:
Anyway I came back for the another race about 9.45 and what a cracker - there was about 6 of us of then - got 2nd on the grid - got a good start into 1st place - first corner forgetting I had cold tyres, slid into the kitty litter :lmfao: The guy in the Fiat raced superbly and won - however I did have great battles with Snooks and then Doorman - sorry if I made contact with you guys - I wasn't trying to knock you off honest!
Great racing guys - see you on there real soon! :)

That's one of the better ones :roflmao:
Sorry I could not participate, seems like great fun! Will be back soon! 8)
erm.....rev limiter?
All these new fangled combination buttons.
Acc, brake, left right.....that's it for me. Should I try harder, or does that all come with the wheel I get home tonight. (bloody inlaws here tonight, but I'm working at midnight, so hopefully I'll get a few laps between 1030 and midnight.....)

Rev limiter to keep the allowed speed in pit. Go too fast in the pit and you get a stop/go penalty. That means you have to enter pit, stop, and leave pit again - but remember to enable the limiter on your way out, otherwise you have to do it again :)
