Poor man's MOTD :D
That were great, that were...when I finally got on.
I have a new favourite car, better than the old favourite, but not as good as tomorrows nwew favourite.
Particularly enjoyed a Thruxton thrash, even four laps in I was clinging on to watching the battle between Snooks, Deetz and the Man of Door.....then I got too engrossed and span out on the nasty little 2nd gear corner near the start finish. After that I was enveloped by the beige mist. It's a bit like the red mist only it's by smoking tyres and loose trouser moments where I've tried too hard to catch up and barreled it into tanother meadow.
That paragrapgh was formatted just for you Ron.
Next time lads, next time.

Snif... if only thursdays could work for me :(
:D Yep, an excelent night's racing was had by all (I hope), and certainly by me.
I look foreward to many more.
And I'm sure it was Green mist Benny, from all that grass cutting you did. :P
Deetz
These meetings are getting better and better. Even FrEnZy, or is it fReNzY, made it to the end of a race tonight. I took great delight in beating Rocket Ron at Brno. Deetz was interupted by a phone call (must remember to look those words up) so didn't finish. (Everybody, aaah!) :D
I think Oldie has been weaned off the Mini, but maybe the jump to a De Tomaso Pantera was a bit severe. :D
Enjoyed my all too brief visits - nice to see you guys again.
Does anyone know how to remove grass stains from a Porsche 911

Of course you can come on the server, you're dMw ain'tcha? Get your wheel out, trust me, you'll need it. Tip: Practice in Professional mode, that's to say NO aids at all! Start as you mean to go on. It's a steep learning curve but you'll love it in the end.
/Lecture over

One stop shop for all the tracks (http://www.no-grip.net/index.php?categoryid=2&subcat=34)
Look out boys, serious competition coming.
Thanks ive downloaded the tracks now Doorman.
I have connected to the server, but after about a lap i keep losing connection to the host, does anyone know what might be causing this?? ive tried some other servers and i get the same thing, about 2-4 mins in i lose connection :S
I managed to get a full race in on 56k mode, but the next track we went to i lost connection again in the quals .
Even tho i came 1min 25 behind the leader i was happy :P dead last i came, i think i didnt see anyone after the 3rd lap . Then i pushed to hard and ended up in the gravel alot :)

First off, well done for finishing the race. Given that you were using a keyboard! It has to be said that a lot of people would have given up. Good man. :D
I'm not sure about the connection problem but try THIS THREAD (http://forum.rscnet.org/showthread.php?t=238528) on RSC.

Mr admin, your guide post needs updating.
On a side note, a couple of good races last night.I did enjoy the duel with Oldie, first time I've not panicked too much and held on.
Second highlight - screaming past Deetz, server legend, as he was stalled in the pit exit. I used the right line and just the right gear choice to whistle past..
his connection had timed out.
The guide is mine. I think the best would be if I edited that post and referred to another, which Ron could make, in which he lists all track currently on the server. Because this changes all the time, as we get tired of some and new come out. What do you think Ron?
Thanks Gents.
Right next one how do i get the damn throttle and brake to be on seperate pedals?
When i release the throttle the brake is then applied but i cant find an option to turn this off.
And my Driving Force Pro options i do not have "Pedals reported as Combined ticked" which was the first one i checked.

After you unticked it did you then setup the controls again? The split axes have other names, so when you enter the controls again it might help.
It wasn't originally ticked.. :(
Also checked that the global settings in the profiler was not ticked.

When you set up the axes in the game, what are they called? R, Z or X,Y? (or something like that)

You'll be ok then I reckon. If you have that link handy you can do what Oldie does, if he hasn't got the track he nips out and gets it. Only takes a jiffy.
P.S. I didn't mean it. You'll bound to be rusty and WoWised now. Reactions get shot.
Finally sorted it.... i had to selct accel and brake on the right to seperate them.. Doh.
Had a quick play with the mini on the first track of the comp.... it was ok.
How far am i off times then Ron with this track? 41:45
Rust falls off at speed :D
Jeez.......
will everyone please stop buying this game .... :(
temptation getting too much !!!!!!
MUST NOT BUY STEERING WHEEL !!!!

Yeh some very good close racing - loved the 3 lap qualification
My only concern about the game is ..... The temptaion to run Doorman off the road, will it ever wear off

Hello, just joined here because of Doorman's post on RSC, would love to join you for some fair and fun racing without the complete twats that are seemingly everywhere now.

Hi JB
From what you say you'll fit in just fine.
Looks like we're gonna leave our server passworded to maintain sanity so the more like-minded regs we can attract the better.
Race ya soon - I'll be the one at the furthest reach of your mirrors

Welcome James. Help yourself to the password and join Teamspeak as well. Push to talk would be good. :) What name do you race under?
Hi, I usually race as JamesB. I will join in over the weekend if thats OK and I'll keep my nose clean as best I can. Where do I find the PW? I'll look into push to talk. Thanks for the welcome. Doorman, nice to see someone local!
Maldon! :D Take look at the 'Server password' thread on the front of the forum. PM me for the Teamspeak server password.
Enjoyable racing tonight chaps, even if I was noticably worse than you. Thanks for a hassle free and wrecker free race.
