Title: RCON access
Post by: OldBloke on March 05, 2003, 07:51:39 PM
To gain access to rcon either:

rcon_password grandprix

Or ...

In your shortcut to the MH/Baldric add:

+rcon_password grandprix

Then to change map use:

rcon changelevel mapname

E.g. rcon changelevel de_dust2

You can see all the maps in the rotation by typing listmaps in console. You won't see *all* possible maps however e.g. you can change the map to de_predator but it doesn't show in listmaps.

To make an announcement from the server use:

rcon say Ready to start match?

To force chasecam:

rcon mp_forcechasecam 2

The following is for use in setting up server for matches.

1. Set the server password - rcon sv_password dmwmatch

2. Change to the selected map - rcon changelevel de_dust2

3. Change to match rules - rcon exec mr12.cfg (IMPORTANT: this must be done at the start of each half of a match). This will setup the server as MR12, 4 min rounds, FCC 2, FFon.

To restart the round:

rcon sv_restartround 2 (do this 3 times before starting to wake everyone up).

Then rcon say Go Go Go

Everyone should now be aware that you've started.

Before starting a match make sure that everyone is ready. It's quite hectic trying to control the server and make sure everyone's aware that the match is about to start.

At the end of the match ...

rcon exec std.cfg

This will restore the server password and remove the MR12 settings.

Also a quick question:
Do you have to be on the server to use RCON or can it be done in some remote type way??
