Title: help identifying an arctic cooler
Post by: suicidal_monkey on May 11, 2006, 11:41:53 AM
can you have a look at these images and tell me if you think this is the arctic cooler rev.3

http://seis.bris.ac.uk/~bm8746/files/ArcticCooler/ (http://seis.bris.ac.uk/~bm8746/files/ArcticCooler/)

I'm certain it's the right line of coolers but not certain it's a rev.3 and I have a 9800pro AIW

2nd hand for a tenner, think this is a good deal?

edit: just noticed what looks like a crack in this photo:

...?

I can't identify the revision for you.  However, if it were me, these things cost, what, £20 new? TBH - it appears cracked, and I'd pay the extra tenner for the piece of mind of having the reliability of a brand new fan.

update: the guy says it was just a mark on the heatsink and that it cleaned off...see the updated picture at the bottom

any idea how to tell the rev.3 apart from, er, the, er, rev.1 and rev.2?
