I was watching yet another unbelievable game of football (FA final) with Liverpool V West Ham...after a dreadful start by Liverpool going 2-0 down :frusty: the man myth that is Steven Gerrard changed gear and got us back to 2-2, Then again a pure fluke of a cross come shot put us to 3-2 down... at this point the cup had West Ham on it..but alas Gerrard hit a 35 yard peach and levelled the match. so it went to penalties and Reina came up trumps in goal..One of the best FA finals I have ever seen...
GERRARD for England Captain..IMO :worship: :woot2: :yahoo: :toast:
When liverpool went down 3-2 and there players all started to get cramp, i thought westham where going to win it, Shame really i wanted them to :P But Gerrards goal was amazing.
West Ham fell to pieces on the Penalties, they should have won but Harewood could barely stand up which made him launch that shot from 2 yards from the mouth of the goal, to 5 yards wide of the goal...
Ah well, was a great game, (the bits I saw anyway, missed quite a lot of it).
great game, pity someone had to lose really :) First football game in ages I've actualy watched all the way through and enjoyed
Yep... very good game...end to end....even with the players dropping like flies with cramp ....
thought West Ham had pulled it out the fire when they hit the post in the last seconds ....
Konchesky's goal was pin point accuracy....for a cross !!!! :lmfao:
Gerrards goals were both well taken ....good job the chances didn't fall to Crouch ... ;) :roflmao: God he's crap !!!!!
But, all in all was indeed one of the best finals for years .....
Twas a very good match indeed. Gerrard really proved his worth.
It's a shame that Harewood could barely stand or West Ham would have won.
Ahh i was in the local watching Hearts v Gretna. Gretna a second division team took the jam tarts to penalties after equalising latish in the second half. The Jambos won in penalties tho shame. Least Gretna will get a game in Europe next season.
In the morning i watched bleary eyed and wooly heided as Scotland held the mighty ( ) Japanese to a nil nil draw but as we had beat Bulgaria 5 -1 earlier in the (3 team) tournament we actually won a trophy. :woot:
