Poll
Question:
Who Will Down There End Boss First?
Option 1:
votes: 0
Things are beginning to heat up, RG2 are closing in on Ragnaros and RG1 are closing in on Nefarian, so the race is on to see who will down their end Boss first.
But who will get there first? VOTE in the Poll now and make your prediction!
My own vote goes to RG2. WHAT!! Yes RG2. And I'll tell you why:
Why will RG2 win?
RG2 raid MC on 18/5 (clear up on 22/5) and RG1 don't go to BWL again until 21/5 (clear up on 23/5). So RG2 have the edge in timing and I think Rg2 is close enough to do the full MC clearance in one night, so long as everyone turns up on time AND there is a clean run. So I am reckoning that RG2 will get a go at Ragnaros on both Thursday AND Monday, both of which will be before RG1 gets another go at Nefarian.
Right now RG2 do not quite have the stats and DPS needed to do Ragnaros, but they are VERY close. What I am banking on is that ALL RG2 MEMBERS will get every possible enchant on their normal and FR gear AND will bring a long a good supply of pots (mongoose, shadow damage, greater arcane damage, supreme power etc) to maximise their chances of success. An extra +30 spell damage (mages/locks), +22 Int (priests), +55 Healing (pallies/druids), +15 Agi on that blade (rogues), +9 Stamina on those bracers etc. Every little bit helps and of course, and having stuck my neck out, I will make myself available as much as possible to help do all the enchants before raid time.
I think RG2 will have Ragnaros down no later than 29th May.
How will RG1 win?
RG1 are getting very close to downing Nefarian and to get into Phase 2 of the fight is a tremendous accomplishment. But I think they need another 1-2 weeks of BWL drops to get themselves up to the level needed for Nefarian. So I believe that whilst RG1 will down Nefarian on 30th May, I think RG2 will pip them to the post.
There are only two ways RG1 can win: either RG1 pull something quite spectacular out of the bag, or RG2 will have failed to get enchanted to the max, will not have brought the required pots and will not have a full raid.
I think RG1 will have Nefarian down no later than 30th May.
So, the stake is in the ground, the line is in the sand and I've stuck my neck out and put it on the block! Who do you think will win?
TL.
This is an excellent idea by TL which i just have to comment on
My money is on RG2 as well, since they have had more tries on Ragnaros than RG1 had on Nefarian, and they came really close last time to getting him down.
Allthough, make no mistake, i'll do my utmost to beat RG2 to this since im a *very* competitive person, and i just want to WIN
To quote our arch nemesis Nefarian:
LET THE GAMES BEGIN
RG2 will win i think, mainly cause if we get unlucky w/ breaths on chrommy or drakes on nef fight (and this can happen pritty eazyly since there are still a number of both and combos of both we didnt got yet).
Then again, if RG1 gets thier best group and a good run done we would have a fighting chance
eeerrrr, we still need a lot of work on phase 1 nef imo, ok we DID kill 42, but there was literally 100 other ones still left to kill - and im pretty sure they only despawned because we were all dead when nefarion landed.
different combinations of draconids in phaes 1 require different methods of killing them, some combinations can be aoe'd down, some need focused fire, etc.
yeh im pretty sure raid group 2 will win this one
as i heard on TS last night, all they need is a bit of better gear and a few runs will sure give that
we on the other hand need our very best people combined, we need a lil luck with spawns and atacks at certain spots and we need to down vael within a few tries
plus you can afford a lil lag in MC, while that same lag kills you big time in BWL

traitors :frusty: :boxing:
Think RG2 will down Ragnaros before RG1 gets Nef down, but let's change this previsions pls :D
RG 1 For the win
No Doubt!
Rata 8)
Dude's face the facts............
RG2 will win this.....even if I have to solo raggy..... or I'l bring along 35mage friends....
But true we need better gear and plz let's all buy some pots plz.....
TL your boys (RG1) are going down.......
I hope this will not affect me getting invite for BWL when spots are needed to be filled. .. 8)
D.
I wonder if /rakeyword invites still work if someone is on your ignore list? :lmfao:
TL.
Pwnd!! :D :D :D
Of course I'm voting on RG2, there's no way I let you guys win of us 8)
Now that you made it a challenge, I'm just as determined as Padding to win this, I'm a sore loser
Let's win this one :norty:
I'll put my money on RG2 ofc!
RG1; you guys will struggle with Nef, from here till christmas, at least.... So you might as well go outside this summer and enjoy the sun :narnar: - We'll beat ya anyways. :roflmao:
RG2 wins ofc! First of all; RG2 takes down Raggy next time and second of all; 50% of RG1 consist of RG2 ppl anyway... Actually we should vote for the possibility: RG2 takes down Neffy before RG1 does :narnar:
umm i think RG2 needs a lesson of facts:
1) you were aided by RG1 all the way in mc
2) we swapped ppl over so that RG2 could get better gear faster and in the same time having RG1 ppl in your raid groups to save your TANGO :P
3) your dps is quite lacking... (yes it is ;) )
4) RG2 tanks aint that good equipped + dont have the experiance RG1 tanks have :P. there is also some jealousy in there...
5) you cant even begin to compare Nefarian to Ragnaros...
so the conclusion of the story.. if it wasnt for RG1 helping you all the way.. youde still be struggling with magmadar or gehennas :P remember.. that the tactics were already set in place, all you needed to do was copy/paste :P

1) Ehm it's still the majority of RG2 that did it..
2) Sort of
3) Their still clearing awesome fast for "newbie's"
4) Nefertem for instance has a full Might set G. :)
5) It's still a fun competition tho.
Well, i like this competition :D
But my money went on to Rg1, just because im finally gonna be able to raid again, after friday (I might raid on thursday :o)Just kidding, it'll be nice raiding again :)
If this was a competition that was 100% serious, f.ex that Rg2 gott smacked if we took down Nef. before them, we'd win because :
like, 30/40 sometimes 50% of your raid is our rg1 ubar-pwners-JUSTSODAMNLEET© guys, and your raidleaders are afaik.
But it'll prob.be rg2 because :
In BWL, you can get unlucky with drakes, breaths & our tangouplimit is much lower than in MC(yeah, im thinking of the Baron geddon + 2 surgers and a Fire d00d)
In mc its "easymode" rookies or not (dont get started on the "you didnt down so many bosses" stuff teni, i know:P) it's "Only" the specific mobs and bosses thats "always" the same.
But , its a fairly fair bet!
Rg2 will be faster cause they got rg1 people helping em on raids ;)
I think RG2 is a quality team on their own and will do fine without any of our RG1 help. :)
if RG1 members keep w/ the attendeance as last weeks RG2 will take Ragna down before we take down Nef
HAVE NO FEAR! HENRIK IS HERE!
Meh, alot of "us" are finishing their Exams, mine is ending this friday
Im just getting started on those....
But yeh RG1 will down Nef first :D
Well, looking at it, both groups basically just need to get more gear (though RG1 might need to sort out tactics after phase 1 of nef). RG2 needs more dps gear, and RG1 needs, well, pretty much any BWL loot they can get their hands on, with some possible upgrades from MC/ZG/AQ20 also :)
As a priest, I can say that the 5 trans bonus would be VERY nice for the start of the nef fight (when struck in melee there is a 50% chance to fade for 4 seconds) but at the moment, we only have one priest that has this bonus... and we're already DEing some of the other tier 2 gear
However, with RG2, upgrades can be obtained from MC (with RG1 or RG2 depending on the raid flexibility we offer in the guild), as well as ZG and AQ20, like RG1. However, there might be a bigger upgrade for RG2 (for example, Asmoden got fang of the faceless in the recent ZG run and replaced a green offhand :D)
Sorry RG1, but my money is going to be on RG2, it's going to be close, maybe like TL said, but RG2 will just get in there ahead of us
i think RG2 will down raggie first, but i hope RG1 will down nefarian first.
Quote(for example, Asmoden got fang of the faceless in the recent ZG run and replaced a green offhand)
What!? Did he already get rid of that nice green dagger!! :roflmao: - Nice going Asmoden, too bad that Vorpal dagger suitet you well :narnar:
I allways bet on myself, so whichever raid I am in WILL win.

ZOMG, What a modest person :narnar:

:bitch: :P
But nice idea, hope both of them will go down very fast :D
Yes my money is on RG2 hehe we will win :)
My money is on RG2 for downing Raggy this monday.
The only reason i see us for now getting him down is lacking dps.
Either way, we will get a lot of tries being at Golemag now.
And yes, that new dagger to replace my green really made a kick in my dps ;p
My money is on RG2 :(
But no offence ,I'm hoping RG1 ninjas this one with a full clearance on sunday
So we can move on to more wiping fun in an new instance :D Bring me the repairbill of a new instance  (Not yours ofc)
Now you may think that this bet is over, but for the first time since SoG started raids to Blackwing Lair, Raid Group 1 cleared 7 bosses in a single evening. Razegore, Vaelastraz, Broodlord, Firemaw, Ebonroc, Flamegore and Chromaggus all downed in one night. Only Nefarian stands between RG1 and a full BWL clearance and winning the bet :D
RG1 goes back to BWL on Tuesday and spends a whole evening on Nefarian. I believe this has upped the ante a little - RG2 need to respond tomorrow night in MC by killing Ragnaros or I fear they may lose this wager!

But you must notice. Also for a first this night, i joined the BWL raid...coincedence?---I THINK NOT!!!
But anyways! I still think RG2 has the biggest chance.. that lying on the fact that the MC raid is the day before ;p
If we get the dps required, Raggy will go down.
If you get to stage 3 of the fight, you will probably get Neffy down.
But yours is still more tactic, and you even have to battle the Red and Blue he has this time around... not an easy one ;p
All i can do tho is wish good luck to both parties, i really hope we both pull it off!
