I hope it is okay I do this seperately. What are the best British shows and the alike?
My suggestions:
Faulty Towers
It's not the 9 o'clock news
Blackadder
Other candidates could be Bottom, Smith and Jones etc.
What do you say? I am sure I have forgotten some very important ones :D
Who's Line is it anyway?
The Good Life

what about the navy drama from 2 years ago that was canned by the royal navy thru the courts for being crap.... and a cookie for the name( i know it)
Little Britain
Must say, Bl'adder gets my vote for comedy anyway.
Spaced is still my favourate, I heard Simon Pegg say that whe he and Jessica Stevenson are both free they will do a third series.
Antiques Road Show or Songs of Praise
Last of the summer wine
Edit: with Compo
Buffy the Vampire Slayer for all the wrong reasons

All 3 great candidates imho. I wish they would send Young Ones on telly here again :(
Edge of Darkness (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0090424/)
Gripping mini series.
'The Young Ones' got a massive cult following - and when you think it wasn't on for that many episodes its impact was truly immense.
'Not the Nine O'Clock News' was also a bit ahead of its time, but nowhere near as funny as TYO.
TL.
Can't beat a bit of Wallace and grommett .......? can ya? .... oh u know u can...... can ya? .... oh u know it! ............
