SeN have challenged us on de_tides ...for the 18th June ... havent accepted yet...because its a map rarely played by us ... please let me know if you want me to accept/decline
part of me thinks ..yeh why not ..its different from the norm ...
but then another part thinks ...hang on SeN may kick our butts BIG stylee

Tides is a small map, Fun on a public server, easy to rack up big scores.
I can see the bombite that isnt CT spawn being a right bitch to defend. It might be a bit awkward to attack if they get in decent positions.
I would say our knowledge of the map is pretty basic, i know SeN have played this a few times and probably practiced a hell of a lot more.
Summary: We are probably going to get beat.

We've played this map on the tournament at the LAN. Easy map if you know what to do.
I had some tactics we've used at the LAN and they worked pretty good (just ask DA an NinjaFreak hehe :whistle: ). I'll post them lateron.
It could be better to just show you how where and what though...

Tactics we used at the LAN:
As T:
The easiest bombspot to reach for T's is left of Tspawn. This because CT's spawn on the other bombspot.
At the LAN the rest of the team used to rush left and me picking off any CT's that would try and rush my fellow T's from the right side (our backs). On the balcony just near Tspawn you have an excellent spot to pick off the rushing CT's (gitspot for Doris). I played with a galil up there and would hold up the CT's enough for our guys to plant the bomb and me making it back to help them out for the other CT's. The right bombspot is really difficult to reach as T as the CT's spawn there.
What the rushing T's should do on the left: toss HG's and flashes over the bridgethingy where you have to plant the bomb (watch out for CT's nades, to defend it they have to do this aswell).
As CT:
The one CT spawning on the most far right of spawn should rush to the right really fast and throw flashes and his HG over the right bombspot (needs a bit practice) to hold off the rushing T's (see T's tactic).
There's a few gitspots on the spawn of CT. 1 is on top where you have some really good cover from the dark up there. The people from the LAN will remember my little trick when I've planted the bomb up there and 3 CT's couldn't find me and I could take 'em all down.
There's also a nice spot to shoot the rushers from on the right side. Best thing to do is put Doris with a scout on the right, backed up with an M4...
Best thing to do is to show the how and what but Doris and Hippy know quit some gitspots aswell. We've played this map alot on the BoDserver but they took it off because the T-team kept winning on it. :rolleyes:
