It's just Me! Me! Me! isn't it? ;)
I'd hang on before installing.
There's a lot of negative chatter on the boards at the moment.
hanging.....

Doh! Too late. I've been on line with it, it seems ok. Is it just the usual reactionary stuff one gets at every patch, in every game except LFS where they lap up everything.
NOT ANOTHER BLOODY PATCH :frusty: :dribble: :bye2:

 ;)
how do I find out what version of BF2 Im currently on?
:ranting: I am trying to download some missed incremintal patches and it keeps asking for my login and kicking be back to the EA start page. In both IE and firefox <_< though it doesn't ask for a password for the latest one

Don't bother with the incrementals if you have the complete patch 1.3 (about 440Mb)
Thanks for the link, downloaded :)
Thanks for the link, now downloading...
Here's an interesting side effect of 1.3 that I discovered last night and I wonder if I'm alone. (all right, all right. That's enough sniggering at the back) I got a CTD when trying to join a server. It got as far as 'Join Game' then 'bosh!' So I disabled the Daemon thingymagig and put in the dvd. Et voila! No CTD. Not only that, the loading and verifying bit went like a rocket! Oddly enough it would play singleplayer ok with Daemon.

It's in the box marked Battlefields2. Now let's see, where DID I put that box?
You might need something along the lines of pr0t.st0p if its doing that. Give that a whirl and see

Unmount the image before installing the patch then remount it. Patching with image mounted might corrupt the image
Now you tell us, after we've done the install! :(

:withstupid: that's what I did, and my 1.3 BF2 install seems to be working OK with the disk image.
