Title: Ati versus iMon
Post by: suicidal_monkey on May 23, 2006, 10:36:00 PM
My silverstone lascala lc11 case came with a bundled soundgraph imon remote, infrared, and vfd (display) unit. Great! But... the iMon drivers really mess up the ATi drivers, causing system reboots and lots of errors with the radeon drivers (particularly cli.exe)

the computer also seems really slow to respond, scroll, open folders, etc...

task manager was eating between 10 and 20 percent, the rest being taken up by system idle...

10-20% for the taskmanager is extremely high... not even my work neolithic pc uses that much..

have you tried uninstalling/re installing new updated drivers?

I got as far as removing (i hope) all traces of imon and ati drivers the other day before the need to sleep won it's battle with my pc repair attempts. I found a little info out there on the web eventually that might or might not help... apparently it might be something to do with .net 2.0 sans .net 1.1 conflicts, or more likely that I need to set imon to "exclude" cli.exe from, its, er, scanning list or something... Away from my pc until next week though, so can't try anything until then... :) fingers crossed!
