don't refresh them so often?
I think BF2 automatically removes servers that fail to respond if you continually hit refresh or something. Happens to me too when I'm being impatient ;)

If there is a yellow scroll bar present beside your list of favourites use it and they will reappear. I think this is a bug.

Or it could just be that the BF2 server browser has been, and forever will be, a pile of cack...

Mine does it too.  I suspect it's a bug, probably introduced with 1.3.

I did not experience this until earlier but understand entirely your problem. I had no idea what to do but i found that even clicking refresh or cycling through the tabs did not help in anyway. Unfortunately this seems to be a new bug but i have no resolution as both this error occurs and another problem which involves refreshing the status of the servers in the favourites list.

You can also change and edit your favourites list:

Goto My Docs > BF2 > Profile > 0001 > Gamecon (I think) edit using notepad, near bottom of page you'll find all your favourites, simply change the names to something more easily remembered etc and save.
