Title: Does WWCL Config Checker work for you?

If you know that your CS goes fubar on WWCL Config Checker servers respond to this thread with "No" . If your CS works just fine on WWCL Config Checker servers respond to this thread with "Yes".

By doing this we will know who to call in if we have a match on a WWCL Config Checker server.

If you don't know what a WWCL Config Checker server is then the symptom you are looking for are:

- Kicked out of CS
- all your controls goes fubar and you cant move. If you reconfigure your control settings you are kicked by server.


If you know a remedy to the problem please post it here.

Don't think I've played on a server with that. But my config.cfg is read only so that shouldn't be a problem.

ok, count me out of any matches on servers that run that gestapo software. I am NOT changing my settings for some crappy anal retentive server admin.

ditto. Does CBM run WWCL? I frequently get ditched from there with a "couldn't write config.cfg" error.

Mine works fine  :D

I think if you have your config set as Read Only it will automatically kick you if t's set to do so.

But cbm now has C-D running and if you have custom models then it may freeze your player and time you out.

Actually, there is a simple answer.  Squad Leaders will NOT book matches where WWCL is involved cos it is totally crap.   Picking squads is hard enough without having to figure out if you have a WWCL-capabale team as well!  :(

I have STILL not managed to get my configs working fully since my last meeting with a WWCL server 5 weeks ago  :x   As a result of its 'helpful' intervention I cannot see ladders, bomb site markings or bullet holes........

/me wanders off muttering loudly and swinging at anything within striking range....  :x  :x  :x  :x  :x  :x  :x  :x  :x

All of those came back when I reinstalled HL and CS ...  :D
