Title: Paladin builds for PvP
Post by: Lucian on June 06, 2006, 10:42:39 PM
I'm currently 1/2 holy, 1/2 prot specced and this seems to be working well in pvp.

Just wondering what works well.  In 1v1 situations I can outlast almost every other class (except maybe shadow priests who fear me away from them).

Any other suggestions?

I'm almost full retribution. I'm glad as long I've got vengance and seal of command. (This is how it looks talent (http://wow.allakhazam.com/profile.html?1397179)) The rest is just about filling on Agi and Str. Gets pwned pretty fast by casters since im relying on my armor. But when it comes to melee, this setup is great. Just ask the warriors from the guild  :P

there are of course more options but i find that these 2 work well in pvp

one for Melee dmg
http://wow.allakhazam.com/profile.html?879189 (http://wow.allakhazam.com/profile.html?879189)
( marduk's spec)
- Judge crusader and put on SOC for dmg perhaps judge soc later also use crusader judge and hammer of wrath but mostly melee dmg, rather mana efficernt and still ableto heal if you spend your talents wisely

and one for holy dmg ( ranged sort off )
http://wow.allakhazam.com/profile.html?406490 (http://wow.allakhazam.com/profile.html?406490)
( secohan's old spec)
-judge crusader hit put soc for dmg and then at the end stun SOC judge and use holy shock and use use hammer of wrath this should get most people from from 30-40 % to 0 eats true mana tho and can only be used once every 1 min to uberly kill someone
easy to get all healing talents to

could of course vary in the talent setup of course, use those a rough guildeline and all should be well :P

The way I see it Marduk, you really dont have time to judge SotC all the time. I would rather judge SoC, and with Sancity Aura hope for a crit around 1.000 :)

Paladin can kill every1 in game due to play style not important you are Holy + Protection or Ret. builded.

Marduk stated well there

This is a little off the subject but I hope it might be of some use to aspiring PvP pallies.

Pally PvP used to be much worse back a year ago when I used to do it as there was a general lack of useful equipment aimed at PvP.

However what I found to fill in this space was engineering. It is probably the best profession to have if you're PvP, I personally favour Goblin as it gives you access to rocket boots, rocket helmet (stun enemy for 30secs) and the Sapper Charge (which can be a nice ending to a fight if one is not rdy for it).

Also the reflector shields are v potent against mages, locks and shadow priests.

Also if you're just looking for some method of spending a hell lot of gold you can't go wrong with Arcane Bombs (I really wanted to try these out on Shammies but was always too much of a Scrooge).

Anyways I realise this isn't talent builds but I hope it's constructive.
