I'm in the market for a wireless mouse... At the moment at home I use a logitech mx510 and it's by far the best mouse I've used, especially in terms of size and shape... therefore I was looking at the G5 and the only thing that's making me hesitate is the price premium! Are there any other well-built mice out there for big hands (microsoft mice don't agree with my tendons that well) that I should be considering? Or should I just be forking out the cash...
Other option of course is the ols mx1000, but I have a feeling the G7 is head and shoulders above it? plus it's not that cheap either!
Well i have an MX1000 and love it. If you want you can buy me a G7 and I'll give you my MX1000
Scan do the MX1000 for £36:

BTW, at work I have a Logitech Mx 518 which is also available in wireless.
someone mentioned the mx1000 suffers from interference, particularly at lans and such whereas the g7 doesn't? :)

I think you may find that about 10 pints interferes with how it moves and the accuracy. That seems to be the usual cause at LANs.
Dont buy a G7/G5, i literally mean it..
it toally sucks..(i bought a G7 and went back to my mx500 2weeks later)
the laser system is totally screwed up, youlle have to throw away certain mousemats because it doesnt track on non reflective(matt) surfaces(ive got a func1030, which by no means whatsoever i intend to part with!! )
plus: you loose a side button, and MOST games dont even recognise the middle click, tilt wheel and button 4!! and even with the software updated!!
not to mention that its Much more heavy and uncomfortable than the mx500..
and another thing.. the sensitivity switch tangoes up aswell...
also the mouse wheel scrolling system sucks.. and another thing, most of the time when you try to use the wheel click, youlle probably use the tilt wheel...
forget G7/G5 its a total ripoff..
Optical mice FTW!
