ADDED:
QuoteThe officers have discussed about letting alts into MC for the picking up of the Ancient leaf and Eye of Divinity before. We now feel its time to expand this a bit and allow alts to attend MC / OL. There will be some parameters to make sure it doesnt afflict the raid too much:
- There will be a limit on the ammount of alts that are allowed in a raid (this is set at a max of 5 for this moment, depending on raid size. fe. 36 man raid allows 1 alt, 40 man allows all 5), and at special runs (speed etc) alts will not be allowed.
- At this time alts will only be allowed in OL and MC (excluding ragnaros fight), if due to class balance alts are asked to stay they are not eligiable for loot that drops.
- In the event that an alt and a main want the same item, the main wil get the item disregarding DKP. This does not mean that mains should grab everything.
- Alts will use the DKP of the players main (If your alt is actively used after this post the DKP of the alt will be converted to main in hindsight).
- After the raid is formed there will be a window of time where ppl can whisper a officer to be considerd for the alt spots that week, there will then be a roll for who gets the alt raid spot. Alts wanting to participate must be able to quickly make it to the instance.
- In order for the alt to be accepted into this system the main must have at least 6 tier 1 or equal/better pieces and preferably the full set.
- For certain fights you might be asked to relog your main (fe. Locks in garr fight, mages in domo fight)
[/b]
Note that these rules can be changed at anytime if they are not working as we intended :) Also please note that this is for RG1 members only untill such time that the RG2 raidleaders say otherwise.
i had a dream

I presume you mean tier 0 here?
Anyways, this is soooo cool. :dribble:
no the main (Sitha in your case) must have 6 or more tier 1 or better items, this is so we dont get alts that are better equiped then mains. what equip the alt has doenst matter that much.

uuhm, sorry i dont speak gibberish, but did you mean that you could get an invite with you main and relog to an alt and take its place?
I think 19 people already said this in the above posts.
You *have* to be in the raid on your main.
If you are not in the raid with your main go whistle because your alt will not be attending MC/OL.
*If* we have sufficient in the raid (ie more than 35) then when all mains are *in* the raid then we will offer a specific number of places to alts of the mains in the raid.
If you use your alt on such a run then your alt spends your DKP and you have one unified DKP bank for the main/alt combo.

There, I think that said it.

Basically we want all the mains in first, so that ppl won't skip the raid to MC if they didn't get their alt in.
As we need more then 35 ppl to attend for this to happen, it is up to the guardians alone if this happens on a regular basis. You get one alt per person above 35 spots filled.
so its a "roll" for the alt place after that? ^^

Almost. Everyone else rolls Shadowelf. We excluded you under the 'Shadowelf Amendment Act 2006'.

Can I check where RG2 stands on this? The reason I'm asking is that Bobby is fast approaching 60, and I'm thinking about raiding again. Obviously this will have to be with RG2, but does SoG recognise Bobby as an alt or as a main?
In my eyes he is my main, but does that match SoG?
and how does this go for loladins :P seeing as im a hybrid class im kinda my own alt, can i sign up to go full loladin for a MC raid once or something ? :P
Shadowelf, not to be a jerk.. but do you really think we need priests? we cant seem to get rid of them :P
anyways... good idea, that might TANGO people to attend more :D

If you check the Guild list then one of you has Alt against your name, the other, Soldier. And yes, when you stepped down and asked for Bobbyus to be your main and Lucian your Alt we made those changes at that time.

Thats good :)
Might I also suggest that if people want the privilege of bringing alts to MC, then when a class need arises and they have a suitable alt, that you make it a rule whereby they cannot refuse to bring him? Makes it fair for everyone really...
Luthor you may get annoyed that alot of people have priest alts but this is because at the time we started them there was a vast shortage, probably why you were brought in in the first place, n00b :P
also they are fun to play.
Thirdly the leaf/eye from domo are kinda class specific so it would make sense to have a priest alt available at least to get those (I'm gonna park Pan outside MC entrance just in case).
Lastly, now that I'm level 60 on Pan I'm more than happy to respec to holy/disc, but ONLY if I will get her into raids alot, as basically shadow is best for soloing. tho as a concession I do have a couple of items of +healing kit (abyssal etc) plus 90% of kit is + to healing and damage. Only green items are rings :D
