The boots requires the following materials :
3 Lava Core
3 Fiery Core
4 Core Leather
6 Dark Iron Bars
So i was thinking about going to BRD and Craft the boots along with other FR gear we want to make for other tanks, so if you others could help me deciding what gear we want to make, and how much we want to make of each item
I know there is at least some of the tanks from RG2 that needs to bump their FR to even more Resistance, and maybe all the tanks wants the Dark Iron Boots?
So lets try to make a list of persons who are needed what items, then provide me with the required materials and i'll make a crafting run where i will create all the necessary stuff and send it round to the required people

I dont know who wants them, i suppose you could ask arround the tanks a bit padding, or post on forums that your taking orders for boots, since i think most ppl still dont know you can make them

I am pretty certain that we have a load of DIO as the DIO that I send to Moneybagz gets returned after 30 days unopened as I suspect his bags are full of the bloody stuff :lol: As a result I have started storing some on Guildybankee too to avoid overloading!

3x5=15 Lava Core
3x5=15 Fiery Core
4x5=20 Core Leather
6x5=30 Dark Iron Bars = 240 Dark Iron Ore
So send me the stuff and i'll go smelt the ores and make the boots and then we can see what kind of enchantment we get on them
Why not see what demand there is for the first set? Or see what demand there is before we make them? Post in theopen forums and see what happens and then let's use that feedback to guide the first quantity?

....that's the same as making 5 pairs and then finding people to take them. All I'm looking at is the mats. Ask the tanks who needs them, do a quick survey and then we have an idea of quantity needed to be made. Although I woudl guess that even if we get pairs left over they would sell well on AH and help fund pots costs.

While we're at it, let's see if any alts or lower levels need to make the MC attunement run. Bring a lock along, one member leave, alt/lower level enters instance and then summon them to the attunement point once we are there. Repeat for as many members as is needed. Just bring a lot of shards!

TL - no offense - but this never works and you know it. I can spend hours on trying to organise these things, and i just dont have the time for it. Im gonna make this run when i have the required materials and when i have the time to do it. It might as well just be with a PUG - which is probably easier to do - than with a guild run
Np. I have done it myself and it worked just fine, but as I am not the one organising it then I am not pushing it, it was simply a suggestion. I have zero problem if you simply want to make it a crafting run.

At the moment that's a big YES. The mats needed for the weekly pots list runs into several hundred gold each week and we don't always get 'nice' drops from MC or OL that sell that well. At the moment we have about 1,000G in Guildybankee, but mats in the bags is a lot lower than we usually carry and so we are due another big round of mats purchases. Any boots for sale would therefore be welcome.

Now i havent checked my account this morning, but im still in need of vargen to push the right materials to me. If we are in the need of money, then i suggest that we create 5 pair of boots and sell the ones we dont like to the highest bidder
Just coming down to the right place, smelting the ore and creating the boots takes around 1-2 hours so its not like something you *just* do
Can all please bug Vargen so i get the proper materials?
slapping vargen in game would help a lot more for getting the mats you require

Ok i have now created 3 pair of boots
1. +16 Stamina effect
2. +10 Stamina/+11 Strength
3. +11 Stamina/+10 Strength
So who wants what pair of boots..... Ragnarh help me out here

2. Sell the ones we dont want for LOADS of money on the AH
If you check the prizes here on this link to Allakhazam, the prizes range from 1000-2500g for 1 pair of boots. I think we should try to use our position to try to create a market which could trade the stuff we find in MC for a lot of money for our guild bank.
Im willing to go create a lot more boots if i get the required materials, and then send the boots to TL if he can handle the transactions. I know he is well known on the AH and is good to "feel the market"

Well, arguably we do have enough FR, so we would always test the market with the +16 Sta pair? Arguably the tanks have enough FR already, but as Ragnarh wanted I'd still ask Gorion. That +sta only pair might be good for AH though.......

I asked Gorion and his response was "I don't really need them unless you come up with the DI boots with the +FR stats". He reasons that if he got the DI Boots with +FR then he could add another 60-70 Sta as it would allow him to use better tanking trinks/rings etc whilst maintaining his FR stats.
So I guess we have at least one pair, possibly 2 pairs to AH now.

Here's how its gonna play out. Im sending the +Stam to TL to test the market, then im sending the other pairs to Gorion and Ragnarh.
When i have the results of the TL transfer, then im gonna ask Vargen to post whatever mats we have left to evaluate if we want to create more boots and selling them on the AH to make topdollar

Well there has been some dark iron items on the AH before, they seam to be going for a high 100s to just over 1k in gold. so it shouldnt go at all badly :)
might need to get some of that stuff on sok too, tanking beyond garr on 40 FR isnt too swell lol

Fine by me, Sokhar is being used to tank many places and can surely use the FR. Get Vargen to log in and send the required mats to create some DI Stuff for you, and then we can make a crafting run. I want to create some more DI boots as well for selling and other tanks, and also if i can be lucky and get the extra FR boots created, that would be massive for our tanks. That +58FR on 1 item
i can also make most the items myselfs (with exception of the boots) and i know a lot of guilds dont go beyond honored, so both the pants and the boots are fairly rare to find.
Any luck in these, or are we beyond the day of the fire resistance?
First auction did not sell, I put them back on yesterday morning for a slightly lower price, but so will not know if they sold until I get back tonight as the auction will have finished about now.
It did however prompt a crafting enquiry which will pay us 200g (someone wants some and has all the mats). I forward the enquiry to you Padding using ingame mail.

Yeah i already talked to him, and im probably gonna go make them with him later this week. That kind of service is ok, but i dont really wanna spend to much time on it, since it takes 2 hours to complete a run like that, and my time is too precious.

Maybe one of the conditions is that the person who wants them has to organise a run into BRD themselves and clear the way, ready for you to be invited once the way is clear? That way the use of your time is minimised?

as long as the mats are in bars and not ore you can make a crafting run in about 15 min w/ 2-3 ppl (killing exectly 3 elementals). You just need to know what to do :) i learned it after doing it countless times

I have the plans, i have the responsobility. Actually he wanted to buy the boots Gorion returned to me for 200g + the mats, so i might just sell that to him. That saves me the run, but i might get some bad enchantment on the next pair, but thats life i guess.
My initial hope was making around 1000g pr. pair, but if we cant get that.... it might not be worth trying to sell them on a regular bassis?
Well I haven't dropped them down to 1,000G yet, so we don't have to worry about things just yet. If you're happy to sell him the boots for a mats swap + 200G then that's fine by me.

They sold on BO for 1495G to Thorback. Less 70G or so for the AH we made a tidy profit for that - it will buy mats for the Flasks etc for a while :)
