Title: Benediction/Anathema quest

There seems to be some more eyes of divinity dropping now, so I want to try to write my experiences here and help my fellow priests to attain Benediction/Anathema. First of all this is my experience so it can slightly differ from the quest now.

First of all you need three items to make Benediction. Those are:

1. The Eye of Shadow. This drops off Kazzak and has a small drop chance in Winterspring, in the southern part (off the demons)

2. The Eye of Divinity. This drops from Majordomo's chest in MC.

3. The Splinter of Nordrassil. This is a quest reward. The quest can only be started while the Eye of Divnity is equipped.

I am gonna try to explain the quest for the splinter here.
First of all the quest takes place in EPL near Stratholme.

The objective of the quest is to escort 50 peasants to a certain point before 15 die. Like the hunter quest, no one may buff you or get near you, or a demon spawns and that is the end of your quest, but they can buff you before the event.
The peasants will come in waves of 10-15 and later 15-20. The peasants have low HP and die fast. The first wave will have only skeleton archers firing at them (You can't kill those archers so dont try:)) The 2nd wave will also spawn skellies which have very low hp, but because of the amount spawned the damage can stack up fast. This sounds easy but there is also the disease to cleanse. There are 2 kinds of diseases. I will colour code them in green and black. CURE THE BLACK DISEASED PEASANTS ASAP. The black disease kills them within a few seconds. The green disease needs to be cleansed after the black disease. This will get pretty hectic with all the skellies and peasants walking around.

What spells to use:
I used Flash Heal (highest rank)
Renew (higest rank)
Inner Fire (for the nice armor)
Abolish Disease (so the peasants wont get infected again)
Psychic Scream (the skellies can be feared)
Power Word: Fortitude

Optional spells:
Holy Nova (very handy because it kills the skellies in 1 wave, but has a 30 sec ccoldown)
Divine Spirit

Optional spells from other classes (you do not need these but are very handy):
Aura of Devotion (more armor means you can take more)
Aura of Retribution (the skellies have low HP so that stacks nicely)
Arcane Intellect (more mana is always good)
Gift of the Wild
Blessing of Kings
Blessing of Wisdom

Items to use:
OIL OF IMMOLATION (caps intendend:))
Cerebral Cortex Compound (+50 intellect from the blasted lands)
Rum Tum Tuber Surprise (10 int)
Nightfin Soup (mana / 5 sec regen)
Wildblossom Berries (10 stam)
Nightdragons Breath (some health and mana restored)
Mana potions
Health potions (yes they come in handy here)
Demonic Runes (can be handy if you have too much life and not enough mana)

Now that we've covered the spells and items, lets go to the quest itself. I gave a small overview. What I am gonna do now is give a record how I did it and give a few hints here and there. So the story is written in first person.

After getting to the questgiver and buffing myself. (I only had my own buffs and devotion aura) I told the pally his position (where the questgiver stands) he can't move from there, else you can get the cleaner on you and fail.
I started the quest and the first wave of peasants spawned. Only disease for me was the green one so that was fast abolished. There where only archers at wave 1 so the peasants did not get to much damage. (Tip: For the camera postion, take a birds eye view and walk between the peasants. That way you can target manually and it won't be chaos to target them. I also pressed V so i could see their health bars).
The 2nd wave was getting more interesting now, skellies spawned and the first black diseased peasant was there. First I feared the skellies so i could abolish the diseased peasants. I abolished the black disease first then the green disease. I flash healed a few also renewed a few when their health wasn't too low. Since I healed, I got agro (and you want the agro here), so I used an Oil of Immolation, shielded and renewed myself. That way the skellies kill themself.
By this time 1 peasant died for me and more melee skellies spawned (there will be 2 -3 waves of skellies). The archers can give the peasants the green disease, so I needed to abolish some peasants again (and this is also the reason I used abolish - so some peasant won't get diseased again because abolish is still active).
So, after using another Oil of Immolation and healing myself and peasants we got to the 3rd peasant wave (if the peasants are almost at the end go back to the start to pick that wave up). When I got to the new wave of peasants, I feared again and abolished the diseases. The skellies came again however the 2nd wave of skellies also spawned, so I used shield and Holy Nova to kill them all at once. That helped me greatly, I continued healing/renewing them and myself, using oil of immolation and a mana potion.
The fouth and fifth wave are the same, except the skellies spawn faster and there are more peasants each wave so it gets chaotic. After those waves I completed the quest and was the happy owner of a Benediction.

A few sidenotes:
Only priests who have the Eye of Divinity equipped can see the peasants, the rest can't. So they only see you struggle and loosing health, mana, etc.

Don't get angry cause it didn't work first time. I did it in 2 tries, 1 to get the hang of it 2nd for real, and I was surprised how fast it all went.

If you have questions regarding the quest, Please whisper me and I will do my best to explain it.

One remark, you can get Splinter of Nordrassil before you got the Eye of Divinity because the questgiver can be seen with Spectral Essence. (A quest reward from Scholomance which involves Blood of Innocents)

I specced holy to get holy nova for this quest.
Unbuffed manapool of 5k so I slapped on Cerebral Cortex Compound and a Flask of distilled wisdom.

The main clue is to have loads of OIL OF IMMOLATION and maybe some Strathome Holy water. This way you don't need to use much mana on holy nova other then to get rid og the skellys when there are waaay many.
I just shielded and used Oinl of immolation to keep aggro on the skellys if not kill them so only the archers were hitting the pesants. Holy nova to finish them off if the oil didn't.

As a last resort if you really can't do this quest, it is possible for two priests to do it. You need to do it two times, but it's much easier.
Basically, one priest starts the quest, the other stay at the back. The back one takes over cleansing and healing once they come in range so the front priest can regen and take care of skellys. As long as you do not heal eachother at any point, it will not fail the quest.
When the first one gets the quest handed in, the questgiver does not despawn, so the other priest can do the same. After both have the Splinter, make your staves ;)

Hi

I did it with another priest from Ragnarok. We both got the quest and finished the quest at the same time. You have to be in a party and the one not talking to the quest giver have to accept to come along to the quest the same way you do when ur doing the jail break.

The main thing here is that only one can do the work in front and the other/others must stand at the rock and heal those who come in range. We actually got more help from 3 horde priests too.

When you do it together then its very very easy^^
