I think we need to have a look on the current mage situation in RG2/Defender status. Doubtfull marked with * and Deadly with a ** as he is speciel ;)
Current;
Defender: 7
Deadlyspirit **
Ubar
Dynastar *
Snuz *
Arkhon *
Backblock
Risingstar
4 / 7 Mages - We do have a problem / an upcomming problem.
Deadlyspirit - Well we are eventually gonna lose him in RG2, so in time, this spot will be empty.
Ubar - A "new" mage, but he has a great attendance rate.
Lifetime (06/09/06 - 06/26/06): 48% of raids
Hope he will keep it up.
Dynastar - Kinda dont know why he's on the list, he should have been Soldier.
Snuz - Has just broken up with her BF (Werful) and it's uncertin if she'll play the following period. (Deadlyspirit can you update us more here?) I'll try and catch her online / via mail.
Lifetime (03/28/06 - 06/13/06): 21% of raids
Arkhon - Is he raiding anymore? Cant see vacation post from him either.
Lifetime (07/10/05 - 06/06/06): 9% of raids
Last 30 Days: 2% of raids
Backblock - Nothing to comment.
Lifetime (04/06/06 - 06/26/06): 35% of raids
Risingstar - Last raid 16/6-06
Lifetime (05/12/06 - 06/16/06): 34% of raids
Do we need to get more mages - Yes. At least some needs to be replaced. We should start right away, at least with Dynastar, demote him to soldier.
I agree sazgul. And I know for sure Dynastar thought he was a soldier, as he plays his main paladin the most. So that is atleast a place to start.
What goes for Risingstar his att. the last 30 days is down on 18% atm so woud really love to hear from him too soon.
What goes for snuz, I will try call her as soon I can get to her again.
I would say we need ATLEAST to more mages who can keep a high attendance. Last night I logged my alt on Domo so we had 4 mages, and I am pretty sure that if we would have had the 4th mage at Ragnaros we would have taken him down.
It's a class that is very high needed, and we can JUST get 3 mages each thursday/monday, and it's just not good enough!
Backblock and Ubar have a really good attendance, and know what to do all times. Arkhon and Risingstar i havent seen for a very long time. And Dynastar need a demotion to Soldier as he raids with he's Paladin.

If his Paladin is his main then Dynastar needs to be an Alt and the Paladin his main. The question is then why a Soldier is in the raid - I know the answer, but that does point to needing more Defenders to solve the lack of people problem. Ideally you need 5 mages in the raid, but yes 4 woudl be nice at Ragnaros!

Same problem as RG1 then, the attendance is pritty sucky lately allover.
Also note that we cant actualy do much about this untill we set and start enforcing the attedance requirement.

Then as you rightly said, demote him. We do not allow alts to be raiding mains here.

As I see it, we do not currently have any Mages on appliance.
I on the other hand can play mage as I have another account with a lvl 60 mage, but havent played mage that much, so will need help to Spec it right. So what im saying is that as I have most of my gear for my main(Tho need Nemesis head+legs rings and trinkets), ill be able to play mage from time till time. (just need to get the hang of it, as its my gf that has played it to lvl 60)
But can I join this char as an alt, and still earn/spend DKP for Sazgul? I will then be removing Barristan fra SoG guild then.
This will solve the problem on short term.
Im gonna make a generel comment here. I think we should revise the members in RG1 and RG2 *closely* to make sure that we have the required people who are playing the required amount we want them to play.
Its not gonna be easy, especially not with the summer and all but i feel its necessary to make sure that we have the required people to reach our goals.

Yes you can, but thats mostly for RG1 since they can afford to have some alts in. Allthough, not having a mage in is the most crippling thing that you can have in MC. I wouldnt suject buying masses of items untill the raid can survive that though :P
Think ill do that then, at least I can help out on Domo fights when needed :)
Btw could any officer please demote Dynastar so we get an empty slot in mages, and change application forum to display we need a new mage (or did i dream we had that forum post?)

Marshals at this time do not have promotion/demotion rights in guild. Just poke an officer tonight and we will get it done, also ill update the posts then
