What size boot do you need to fill Murray's mouth?
Size 12 with steel toecaps! (http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/tennis/5128642.stm)
I never, in all my years, expected to be cheering on a Frenchman.
My goodness! I was put out by his remarks about supporting 'anyone that plays England' and I took exception to his wild facial contortions. But I didn't realise the animosity he has stirred up until I just now read his BLOG! (http://andymurray.com/locker-room/blog/27-06/monday-at-wimbledon/comment-page-1/#comments)

Could anyone tell me where the skegness today site has gone? I was looking for it but got sent here instead, and although i think andrew is obviously a very nice young man, I really wanted to discuss the pressing issues (yes, that illegaly built shed is causing me some vexation!) relating to Skegness. Would any of you younger types here please care to point me in the direction of the Skegness today website?
thanks
Roy
Why should anyone care if a Scottish bloke says he'll support anyone playing the England football team?
I'm Scottish and don't care if no-one from England supports the Scottish football team.
Support who you like, really makes no difference.
Jack McConnell said he wouldn't support England and got a verbal kicking.
Beckham said the same thing about Scotland, didn't see the same headlines.
Good luck to England against Portugal, I don't care who wins as long as the match is good.
I'm English and care not wether we win or lose. But if we win at least win with something close to a bit of skill, style or teamwork.
England havn't provided a good match for years and on that i refuse to watch what is continually one of the worst teams in the tournament.
We always want an English man to do good and if there isnt one go to the next in line a Great british one...... Glory seeking bullshit.
And here was me thinking the double standard of Murray saying he would support 'anyone' over the England team and yet he comes to Wimbledon expecting a great round of support form the predominantly English 'Britain' supporters.
It was a cock of a thing to say, but screw him. He can learn the hard way that the media are never gonna be his friend
Still, it's publicity for him, gets his name in the papers, and gets people talking about him.
It's worked, as here we are doing just that.

Hijacking is great. Murrays' hair is too big for me to have any respect for him. Plus he needs some acnedazzle.
It's interesting to note that the GOB® wasn't put into operation after his win over that poor French lad. There's hope for him yet if he's taken the advice of his PR guy. Incidently, in case anyone thinks I am anti Scottish, I'm not. I'm just anti pig-ignorant Scottish! :D

I'm not a fan of what he said but if you have been brought up in scotland getting 1966 shoved down your throat for years and everybody who does well is British until they lose and then they're scottish, you might understand where this comes from.
Said with as much objectivity as I can muster in the hope that it doesn't spark a war :D ;)
PS Go England !

As it happens that hacks me off as well. Commentators who, when the English guy goes out, suddenly become 'British' and adopt the Scot, Welshman, Irishman etc. (Er...etc.? There are no others! Oh yes, Manxmen)
In fact, on reflection, pig ignorant Scot was wrong. It should have read 'pig ignorant anybody'. It's just that we were talking about a Jo.. Scot. :D

Thinking on it some more, I'm almost convinced the Scottish 'anti English' thing is some kind of affectation. Almost as if you are expected to be anti English. That goes for the Welsh as well!
EDIT: I've had the assistance of several cans of lager to help me in my deliberations. Blame them!

you are absolutely right Ron...
but I'm afraid there is NO WAY I would support the English Rugby team.
different Sport...different feeling...maybe it's because the welsh football team has never really caught on at home
edit:"you are absolutely right Ron..." about the lagers :narnar:
Another thought. :lightbulb: Stereotyping is good. It allows us to take the p*ss out of each other, which is fun. Just don't let's take things too seriously.
Except Bannockburn. What a b*stard losing that one! :D Interesting read (http://www.braveheart.co.uk/macbrave/history/bruce/banseq.htm)

They did at least send 2000 archers to help out the English. So we had to mean something to you. Unless it was just for the money!
