Title: Help with signatures
Post by: Bastet on July 10, 2006, 12:43:10 PM
Due to more ppl asking me how to i did my signature. Here is how:

QuoteTo make a link in plain text:

Type the words you want first like: Homepage
Select/Highlight the bit you want to be the link
Press the globe button up top, youll get a pop up, and then can add the link: Homepage (http://www.deadmen.co.uk/forum/www.silveroakguardians.org) to remove hit the button w/ the X this also goes for color, front change, size change, bold etc

For a picture, hit the "landscape" thingy, and youll get a popup where you can type in the link.

You can also combine these and make a link on a picture.

Just in addition, your sig has to fit 420x80 (or something, edit me if needed Admins) or else it will just turn into an hotlink, like mine.

1.) Click the landscape/picture button (Insert Picture it says)

Swoosh: You see a picture (preferably your signature)

2) Click the image you just inserted once

click says the mouse (No not moo if you got a Tauren)

3) Click the globe with the chain (Insert Link it says)

Insert your link to your allakhazam profile f.ex.

4) Hey presto. You get it just like me :norty:

I second that.

I vote for sticking to the guidelines from the Aszune forum (think it has been posted either here or on our old-old forum, but can't fint it right now) about signature size:

And may those that don't follow those guidelines be punished hard

Hi im neff and i pwn, eod.
Good one Neff, that we can live with.

And just so there aren't any doubt: I'm only talking about the size of it, not the contents, cause that's just absurd - and we all know it :narnar:

Well, signatures aren't meant to be big - a good signature has so big font that you can see it even when it's small...

wasn't sure where this should go so feel free to move it, I have recently added a sig for the first time cos it's funny, it's an ACTUAL dialog box from some app, while looking I found another that would be perfect for Neff...

That's just because you obviously don't have that programmer/geek gene (which I like to refer to as "The Dilbert Gene")

And bdw Umbra: "Contact Henrik!"
That's just :roflmao::roflmao::roflmao:

lol seriously, that's not my code. look up a site called 'the daily wtf' or something: http://thedailywtf.com/

for coders it's a good laugh.

basically it makes you remember that programmers are people too and often put in/forget/insert easter eggs or test code that users are not meant to see, like one of our apps at a certain time would come up with 'happy birthday' naming one of the coders, :S
