Title: From 1.12
Post by: Nefertem on July 14, 2006, 05:12:47 PM
This is from the link Akall posted in another thread.. But can someone translate this into some more simeple english pls, as I can't see wether this is good or not :blush2::

QuoteThe mechanics of rage generation has been re-evaluated to bring the scaling of Warriors from levels 1-60 and beyond more in line with that of the other classes. Previously, Warriors gained rage from dealing damage based on a formula that took into account damage dealt and character level. Warriors will now generate a flat amount of rage per hit based on a new formula that takes into account the type of weapon (two-handed, mainhand, or offhand) and character level. Warriors from 1-60 should see more reliable rage generation, while Warriors with endgame itemization will see their rage generation brought down to more manageable levels. We have deemed this change necessary to preserve game balance as we move towards the release of World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade and the increased level cap that will arrive with it.

Rage generation is normalized, youll get a flat rage for every hit instead of more rage for big crits. This means that at lvl 60, warriors with gear like dajo will lose rage generation, while tanks will prob go up a bit. It will also mean that your rage generation is more equal, as in, hits and crits giving the same ammount.

Good or bad depends on overall rage generation at lvl 60 for a tank, if its lower then now OT might have a problem keeping up, as MT still gets tons of rage from beeing actively hit on, which seams not to change at this time

meaning a green geared dual wielding 60 warrior will generate as much rage as an epicked geared dual wielding 60 warrior? if so than that means im getting nerfed. **** U BLIZZARD..I MEAN IT

I certainly hope so cos I need the rage.. I barely have enough has it is, so I wouldn't be glad if Blizz took more away from us

being OT on certain bosses is already hard as hell.

during chromaggus i have to stay in the breath effect multiple times to generate enough rage so ime before the rest of the group, and use dual wield, and even then its dam hard to keep yourself high on the aggro list

Think it just means that you wont get more rage from crits, but just a equal amount of every hit, so yes ,  i think your assumptions are right Keltor.

Rage gain change has been implemented a few patches ago (on of the first patches) so you would get rage from taking damage as well (making tanking a lot easier).

As far as I understand, this was just a post to scare warriors off.

(now let's pray they didn't make Blizz consider it now)
