Title: Italian clubs penalised
Post by: DuVeL on July 18, 2006, 01:30:10 PM
After the match fixing scandal that has somewhat overshadowed Italy's WC win, the following clubs have been penalised;

Juventus - stripped of last 2 titles, relegated to Serie B and given a 30pt deduction for next season

AC Milan - removed from next years CL, given a 15pt deduction for next season.

Lazio - Relegated to Serie B and given 7pt deduction for next season

Fiorentina - Relegated to Serie B and given a 12pt deduction for next season

Juve are pretty stuffed unless they appeal, they wont get back up to Serie A next season with a -30pt penalty, hell they may even struggle to avoid relegation to Serie C!!!

here in italy all days tv speaks about it, i think this is a right sentence for the things they have done, also if players are out of the problems, only 6-7 presidents of clubs are the bad men!

i think it will kill off some off these clubs, since income drops a ton due to demotion, but player costs still remain same. If so, you wont see em anytime soon anymore :byebye: not thats its not deserved though.

If the accusations against the teams involved, about corruption etc, i'd say they deserve it.

Fair play, about time someone had enough balls to stand up to this kind of thing.

Plus it means bargains to be had in the trasfer markets.
(and it'll be represented in cm07 at some point - will you take a bribe?)

CM07 Benny? Surely you mean FM2007 - the CM series is a pale imitation in comparison :biggrin:

You just watch it there trigger...I've nearly finished that league...you'll see how good Wigan could have been with me at the reins.
