Title: About yesterdays MC raid
Post by: Shadowsong on July 28, 2006, 08:43:31 AM
First of all, thank you RG1 that you (eventualy) allowed me to join you on your MC run.

Second, I'd like to apologise the way I had to get in the raid. It may be because of the heat last 2 weeks so I get iritated a bit quickly, but I was rather ****ed that someone who just got attunement 30mins ago can join the raid, while I (at first) wasn't allowed to come, dispite I wait at the MC entrance every week hoping for a spot.

And about the Domo fight, I wasn't exactly thrilled to tank a mob because I've never done the fight before (and didn't want to screw up or something) and I didn't have the gear to tank correctly (1 piece of might and an epic sword won't help that much:tongue: )

Also, during the raid there was a small discussion about soldiers and raiding. Soldiers aren't allowed to raid and shouldn't be getting loot at all was one of the things said. But...I can't quite upgrade to defender can I? No spots free, and RG2 already has an over-attendance, so I can't even comply with the attendance requirements (at least join 3 raids or something) because raids are always full.

I say again, I had a lot of fun yesterday, Raggy fight was very cool (never thought I'd ever see the guy) and I hope we can do it again8)

(dispite that I was ****ed, enchants are still free^^)

Thats a bit out of context, i said that in relatance to a soldier getting ****ed off at how loot was handled, so i made a comment about them technicly not having access to that bit of loot, and thus should be happy about what they get, not unhappy about what they didnt get.

Also i said i would hope we wouldnt have to relay on soldiers to fill the raid, the soldiers are doing a great job, but the fact that there is a need for RG1 to get them in is annoying me greatly, afterall there is more then enough RG1 to make 1,5 group.....

Non of this was aimed at specificly at you, but it gets i get infuriated about the lack of progress for RG1, and a lot of ppl with me. Now if thats ****ing you off, then my excuses, but i am only human also and i am allowed my 1 outburst every now and then too

First of all, I'd just like to say that yesterday's MC run was by far the best raid I've been to in weeks!  We didn't get any legendary or really rare epic drops, nor did we get close to the time record either - but none of that is of any really importance.
The keyword here is TS.  Especially during the first half or so of the raid, the chat on TS was more lively than I can remember it has been for a long time.  And it didn't seem to reduce our focus too much either.  Expect from that first miss-pull, we kept a pretty decent pace the whole way through (bearing in mind that we didn't have the most optimal RG - both a bit unbalanced and also some new folks).  It got a bit more quiet towards the end, but I suppose that was because the fights got a bit harder and required a bit more focus.
That's what I call a great raid

I can very well understand your frustration Bastet.  But one should try to make the best out of the situation as it is now.  It's summer and people go for a bit more extended absence than usual due to vaccation and stuff.  And that's the reason why we have the Soldier rank, isn't it?  To fill up the gaps in the raid when needed
We should appreciate the Soldiers and the job they do.  Without 'em yesterday's raid would probably have been called, and that's not something we want.

One can't expect to have as great progress with the raids in the summer as one have the rest of the year.  That's the way it is, and it's just something we've got to live with

Just a small thing I noticed:

No way man
You're kidding, right?

Totally agree with you Bob. Umbra and I exchanged a brief whisper just as we were about to start the fire packs in Geddon's chamber about how much fun it was. :D
