Title: Reagents from Guild Bank
Post by: saori on August 07, 2006, 04:44:11 PM
Hi all,

im asking this because i dont really know the working for this stuff in Guild Bank.

I need to farm some reagents for some high level enchants (like +30 spell dmg in 2 handed weapon), and some of the reagents like essence of air and essence of fire are a real pain to farm! after killing about 100 air elementals only got 1 essence of air!!!!

i know guild bank holds such of this items and i want to ask if this items are available for guildies to buy at a lower rate than in AH.

Thanks in advance, regards!

Thanks for letting us know that we have such things as this is news to me, and last I recall you had to farm for your own enchants.
We do have Essence of fire, in large quantaties, but little or no other kind.

If you don't like grinding, there is a facility called an Auction House in every major city that carry all types of essences.

Your better of grinding in f.ex Tyr's for money buying it of the AH.

And they have other essences than  ~of fire in the gbank? :P

Nop, only EOF we make from MC. These can be bought by members at a slightly reduced rate. other then that you need to farm/buy your own mats.

Well, i thought it was so, forgive my missinformation. I obviously farm for my own enchants, but after farming for 4 days ONLY for essence of air im quite frustrated, and i thought it might be posible that guild bank has such items.

Yes, i know you have EOF in GB, i allway see a lot dropping from MC

Well, i obviusly thought about buying it in AH. But i also thought that EOF was available for guild members to buy it at a slightly lower rate than in AH. If this is the case (as Teaelle confirmed ingame yesterday) i will like to buy the four of them i need.

Thanks for the info, regards.

As confirmed yesterday:
We don;t have Essence of Air - it has to be AH or grind.
We have Essence of Fire in bank but do not give it away.  If you want some send an in game mail to Guildybankee and I will send it COD.  The reason for the in game mail is that we get a lot of traffic through the bank and people like me with no memory tend to forget to do things unless it is on a mail.

As someone mentioned, farming for Essence of Air is kind of a waste of time. The reason for this is the low drop rate, and that the air elementals hardly drop anything at all. It's much better to farm something else and use the money to buy the Essence of Air you need.

If u need essence of air go to silithus in the north corner.

I farmed for 1 hour there and got like 8 elements of air from the thingies there. So that is a great place to farm for it.

If you mean Elemental Air then yes you get loads.  If you really meant Essence of Air then you have found a truly great place to grind them, or been exceptionally lucky.  Me, I did the NW Silithus grind for the mats for the +30 spell damage, it didn't take too long if I recall, maybe 2-3 hours.  Just make sure the invasion is up when you grind otherwise there's nothing left to kill.

Well, that is the place where i used to farm, but after killing no less than 100 elementals i only got 1 EOA, that means that drop rate is a pain!!!!

Well, i will keep farming that place, since i can only afford to buy the EOF and i will not have enough gold for 3 EOA in AH.

But drop rate really sucks...or maybe is me that im unlucky!

Yeah, that is exactly what you told me yesterday, and i will send that ingame mail this evening. Many thanks for that, that will save me a lot of time and effort in grinding those EOF for my +30dmg enchant. The other maths i have them all, except the 3 EOA that i need too and that im farming! But if i really get ****ed by this, i will follow what someone had stated here, i will farm another thing and with the money obtanined i will buy it from AH.

Thats a nice idea, really, i will think of it...

¿Can you suggest me to farm something that is really worth of gold for it? i used to do a lot of Scholo and Strat runs DE every blue item i loot, and have a reasonable amount of 20 large brilliant shards in bank. But, for that i need a party, and i need to farm this as soon as posible and if i can do it solo will be great!

Im leveling up Fishing, had heard that at tlevel 300 can be very profitable, is that correct?

Can someone make some suggestinos to farm large ammounts of gold? this is something that i had allways found problematic...

Well, what I've found best is to farm mobs that give you something you can use anyway and will have to do sooner or later.

I've farmed a lot for Timbermaw and Argent Dawn reputation by killing in Felwood/Winterspring and in Eastern/Western Plaguelands. They are easy kills, and specially when farming for Timbermaw rep, I found a lot of Mana potions that sell for a nice penny. You should also find some nice items for selling (was even lucky enough to find two epics). In Andorhal I almost every time found something blue if I stayed at least a couple of hours.

In the end, it payed off. I now have the recipes from Timbermaw and have "free" attunement to Naxxramas.

Eastern Plageland, below Light hope's chapel. Theres a place called Tyr's Hand. 53+ Elites go down fast, drop alot of money and runecloth.

About the EoA. Like mentioned in an earlier post the best way would be a transmute. You can transmute essence of water inot essence of air so it might be worth a shot to ask in guildchat for a transmute.
About fishing, the stonescale eel in for example aszhara sells pretty nice cause its needed for flask of the titans which in turn is needed in BWL, naxx and maybe aq40.
Though if you want to make money go herbalist and sell the weesd those are real money, like gromsblood, dreamfoil, mountain silversage, icecap and black lotus.
Hope this helps.

EOW is easier to farm than EOA?? Where can i find nice water elementals? Strangelthon Vale and EPL? Any more places?

Thanks for the advise in fishing, i will look for it. And by the way, i will become herbalist since at the moment im skinner and enchanter. Skinning is the one i will drop, at least for the moment, just waiting to expansion to come for make a combo jewelcrafter and enchanter. Thanks a lot for the help mates!

Damn! farmed herthglen for Crusader formula for about 3 hours with no luck!!! i killed almost 70 spellbringers!!!  you see, im allways unlucky with this stuff....

A horde lock was fuking around stealing me my spellbringers, finally after 2 hours of competition with him for the kills we duelled...and he slained me through! damn!....sigh....

Essence of water is more easy farmable (or it was when i tried it then EOW). The most common place to farm it is felwood near the flight path there. Though that place might be overfarmed.

About farming for recipys for money. Those things are luck based so in 1 hour you could find 5 other days you would not find 1 in 5 hours so i am not sure if its a good way to farm those kinda things.

These recipys are expensive cause they dont drop much, if they dropped every hour they wouldnt be worth anything

yeah, i know...but i had been farming that place for about 7 hours in 2 days, and i didnt got any single drop....but i must say that i got a huge load of runecloth (180) and almost 8G in cash and 3 green items (3-4g worth)

i will keep farming crusader in my spare time and in the while i will try Tyr's Hand too and Felwood for those EOW
