We will soon be updating the forum to the recently released v3.6 of vBulletin.
A list of the major changes are detailed here. (http://www.vbulletin.com/forum/showthread.php?t=186803)
You will notice that a lot of the functionality previously requested has been incorporated into this new release.
In addition, there will soon be a subscription model introduced into the community. This community has been extremely lucky to have benefitted from the goodwill of others providing us with free server hosting and bandwidth for which we are eternally grateful. Unfortunately that time has now come to an end and we need to raise funds to cover our costs.
We have decided to set the subscription rate at 1 GBP per month. Yes, only 1 pound per month. So what will subscribers get for their quid?
Well, apart from the CZ, BF2, LfS, GTL, Ventrilo, Teamspeak and forums available to all you will get ....
A 'yourname@deadmen.co.uk' email address.
Priority LAN booking at a reduced rate.
A personal webpage.
Improved forum privileges (details to be confirmed but will include use of the dMw online picture gallery, choice of themes, use of avatar, increased mailbox size and more).
This is an early headsup and more information will be available soon. In the meantime if you have any spare funds then please consider making a donation using our paypal facility available on our homepage. (http://www.deadmen.co.uk/)
We believe that this community is worth supporting and hope that you do too.

Not a problem for such a keen price:biggrin: Gimme the details, I MUST SHOP.
Does that mean that Tealeaf (with a dog wearing a scarf) will stop trying to sell the Big Issue at LANs?
im up for it will there the option to pay yearly instead of forgetting every month:whistle:
sure, but will we have some kind of non-paypal system?
maybe swift or something similar?
Sign me up
And perhaps somebody apropriate should make a small link to this post inside at least the WoW section, since there's quite a few folks in there that seldom (or never?) travels outside of those forums?
I'll be up for it. But I prefer paying at the LANs.
I guess that a yearly subscription would be easier to administrate than monthly.
I'm up for it - we've had a good run. More than happy to help pay my way

Yup I agree. Yearly or 6 months is easier imho.

It's possible. I've been paying for King and da_Ricci aswell at previous LANs.
Good too know m8..
A pound? :yell: Are you mad? That's 23.07693076p a week for God's sake! Do you know what you can buy for 23.07693076p?
Sweet FA is what. Sign me up.
Count me in - I like the idea of paying yearly, rather than monthly.
Is there a bank account I can set a standing order for?
Looks ok but please let me know how to pay from the Netherlands.8)

23.07693076 penny chews:tongue:
Wiring money costs money, especially overseas, so I would also prefer annual payments. Once every second year would be even better for me.
What does PayPal charge you when you wire money? I have just updated my old acccount so that is an option perhaps...
if we can pay with credit card, i think the easyed way to pay is once a year.8)
I would be happy to pay for duvel and da-ricci in advance<_<
It will only cost them a small amount:norty:
Beacouse they don't have a credit card.
How much euro is 23.07693076 pence btw. Is that much?
We'll look into other payment options. Keep pantyhose on for the timebeing!

LOL @ King. da_ricci and I both have a creditcard! We got one with our ANWB-pass :narnar:.
Ahwell, let's see what the admins start up first.
Sorry king asking money to juse yur creditcard:thumbsdown:
You should pay more money because you are older:clap:
how about a lifetime subscription option..?
Just to clear up any confusion ...
The subscription will be entirely voluntary. If you want the dMw bag-o-goodies then you gotta subscribe.

I do want to support the community by paying that subscription fee, but just out of curiousity: what exactly is
inside, and what is left
outside the bag-o-goodies?
Details to be confirmed Bob. This is sort of an advance warning.

However I think that contributions should be MANDATORY for Bravo and Charlie members. These groups are they're the ones who are getting the most out of dMw with matches etc etc and who, in theory, are most committed to the cause.
just imho of course
Did the ocularly challenged Hamster (like a short-sighted Richard Hammond) just call me a cheapskate Alpha?
I'm shocked.
Not at all (good call btw on the Richard Hammond lookalike lol).
OB said that subscriptions would be voluntary - I just stated that I thought they should be obligatory for bravos and Charlies.
Doesn't mean you can't contribute if you want to
