I was thinking some (yeah unusual I know) about signatures last night and it got me thinking about how people liked the BF2 ribbons and led me onto thinking about the subscription based model due shortly. I was thinking it would be good to get some sort of graphical logo to 'give' to paid members to show their support and likewise to have some available for other games and roles within the community to give people some idea of which games members played and also which roles in the community they filled.
I also created a new forum section today under the 'It aint inthe Gaming Section' topic and this set me thinking about which games we support. So off I went to tacticalgamer to see what they are currently doing and what is popular.
Well blow me, it seems Apophis had the same idea a few days ago :laugh:
So, what do you think about us creating our own range of ribbons for dMw to show the games each member actively supports, or the roles undertaken within the community, or special service awards etc?
I think it's something we could use as an 'added value' option for subscribers. Host the ribbons on the dMw server to minimise bandwidth and make the links available to subscribing members.

I would prefer the ribbons to be the Ranger type not the ones used by TG which look a mess IMHO.
Quite happy to go for the best graphic design too, so Ranger's might win!
I'm checking out the Amazon store front too, TG use one but it looks liek a fair amoutn of custom code as I cannot find a package to deliver it on Amazon as yet.
