Title: Plague Wing: Trash
Post by: Bastet on August 15, 2006, 09:02:27 AM
Frenzied Bat
Unknown

Infectious Ghoul
Enrage at about 50%. Can not be purged or dispelled Vulnerable to stuns, slowing effects and Shackle Undead. Kill them one at a time.

Plague Slime
Hits plate for 2.5-4k a hit. Been known to 1-shot cloth and leather wearers.
Immune to one school of magic. The school changes when the slime changes color.

Strategy:
They are VERY slow in movement speed, so the best strategy is to have the tank grab aggro, throw a couple of sunders in, then just kite it, and occasionally throw more sunders/heroic strikes etc. to hold the aggro. There has been rumors of the slimes taking only 50% of the damage cause, but that is not confirmed, at least yet.
They come with packs of other mobs, so the tanks should have time to get enough aggro to just kite him around as ranged and melee nuke him, as they should be killed last.
Alternatively, just tank it and kill it, as they are very easy. One or two healers should be sufficient to keep a tank up through the fight. Another Strategy: Get two Hunters and kite the Slime. They normally need no Heal and get it down while the Raid concentrates Fire on the other Mobs.We found that having hunters kite them around the room that you zone in to was a very easy way to kill them which required no healing whatsoever.

Stoneskin Gargoyle
Acid Volley: An area of affect attack that targets all players within 40 yards that stacks with no clear limit on number. Ignores line of sight but does have a limit on range. Deals damage over time. Cannot be dispelled.
Stoneform: At 30% the gargoyle will emit a strange sound and his hands will glow. You have 6 seconds to kill the gargoyle once at 30% or he will turn into stone and heal himself to full hp. This ability cannot be silenced, purged or interrupted.

Strategy
Save your maximum damage for the last 30%. Don't activate your spell damage trinkets (like Zandalarian Hero Charm) and abilities until then. Huge burst damage for the last 30% is the key to kill them in 6 seconds.
Patrols of two: Assign a tank and 2 or 3 healers on one gargoyle while the remaining raid kills the second gargoyle 50-60 yards away. The AoE poinson volley should at no time hit both groups. Wait until the DoT fades before you engage the second gargoyle.

Plagued Gargoyle
Poison Bolt Volley: which stacks and deal some nature damage(~270) at start per tick.
Stoneform: At 20% they will start casting Stoneform(6 seconds cast), if you wont kill it in 6 seconds, it will turn Stone, and regen 100% hp.

Strategy:
Should be pulled away from each other, because otherwise raid will be getting twice more stacks of poison. Their volley doesn't get affected by LoS, they ignore it. One of the ways to control the fight - is pulling second gargoyle away from main raid and put 2-3 paladins on healing that tank, so they can do divine shield to remove stacks of poison.
