Well at least we're in the first group for the upgrade - and long overdue it was too.  Totally wrecked BWL last night.

It has certainly been happening more and more (laggy instances), which as more guilds do BWL specific runs it does seem to have a knock on effect. New hardware is always good as long as it can cope! ;)

What i'm worrying about is when the expansion comes out. A whole new continent (Well, a whole new world, but probably equivalent in area to 1 continent), with the increased player cap per server than Blizz have said they'll put on so that the number of players in a given zone doesn't drop... So the load on the new servers will go up. Does that mean that come expansion time the performance of the new servers will drop to the level it's currently at on the old hardware?

I may have already posted this worry here. If I have, ignore me, I can't recall if it was here or on the WoW forums.

There will be no problem really. They stated that the new servers have twice the processing power of the old ones. I doubt the server population will double in the expansion.

No  not more people plz.  most mobs/herbs/veins are overcamped already !
unless bliz manipulates respawntime  to population.  which they are not doing now.

besides  i rather be in the second wave, maybe by that time they have figured out what went wrong the first time :)
