I'm going to swing past Heathrow T3 to pick Threbilith up. I suggest he wears a bowler hat and a carnation so I can recognise him.

Duvel, I haven't ordered the tickets yet. I have some transportation stuff to clarify before ordering. Will write here as soon as I know. But, the plane in question will most likely be arriving 11.15 in Stansted (tbc)

11:15! What a lovely, civilised time.

Unfortunately, riding in the back of vans is illegal in UK otherwise....

what are the chances of someone being able to give me and my computer a lift from london (islington) :)
Title: Dingeling...
Post by: mono_dna on August 22, 2006, 05:44:09 PM
As Delan have mentioned, I'm looking for a ride to/from Stansted. In another thread, BigFatCat mentioned that he could swing by if anyone would want him to... erhm... so that would be cool... :byebye:

As for transportation in general, I'm currently looking into whether or not Delan and I could go by car (yes, it's waterproof...). My girlfriends dads friend from England usually takes a container ship from Esbjerg (DK), I think, which should be quite cheap. I just have yet to find out which company sails the trip, if it is from Esbjerg and what the tango it costs...

mono, for your own money interest (which offcourse from the money you save you can buy beer). Ask him fast, I know with Easyjet it really depends on when you book.

That's allright mate

Penfold:
I believe Delan and I have decided to go by plane, as the boat adventure seems to be extremely expensive (more than £450 ). The flight we're most likely to book should arrive @ Stansted at 11:15.

If that fits into your plans, I'd be more than grateful to catch a ride!

Mono - I'm sorry but I'm not sure that's going to work. :blush2:

I'm going to need to drop the family off at the in-laws and am not sure whether I'm going to be headed that way.

We'll see if someone else is coming up the M11 corridor who can swing by, otherwise I'll try and shift things around a bit

I think it's unlikely but if anyone is coming from central london I'd still love a lift from islington. Might see if I can't think of a way to pack my computer so that the journey is doable by train...

okay, new plan ... can I request a lift from March (or Peterborough) train station to the lan? Trains run somewhere between every 30 and 45 minutes by the look of it. Carhire within london is twice the price of what is was in Bristol from the same company I used to use and the train trip is cheap and not too arduous :)
