Title: 1.12 First Impressions?
Post by: StrontiumDog on August 24, 2006, 01:59:15 PM
Well what do you think? Good? Bad?

I have a quick blast in Bg's before I came to work and thought it was ok...although during combat I had the feeling something wasn't quite right couldn't put my finger on it though.

Got to love life tap though...aggro ftw!

p.s. anyone noted what mods have been updated or are not working?

I am in work so I cand find out :(

I personally like the patch it even has a few mods intergraded into it  .

Its just a pain that all my addons dont work now, and it seems everyone is on mod sites making downloads from them impossilbe <_< .

I loooove this new patch. BG queues went down from hours to minutes which is very nice :)

I have problems with TitanHonor+ as the only addon. Anyone have a fix?

I would personally still reccomend using the add-on Scrolling Combat Text, and not the built-in WoW "add-on".  SCT has for instance the possibility to show your over-healing when you heal folks, which is a very nice way to see how effective each and every one of your heals are, and I don't see that supported in the WoW thingy

I wouldn't be too shure of that is I were you, Stront: when sort my Recap list by % overhealing, it's mostly the none-healing classes that top it
I guess it has to do with folks starting to bandage themselves, and than get a full heal, and than keep on bandaging, or something like that, which means a big % overheal

I'd still vote for the SCT option, not Blizzard's version.  You can run SCT in 'Light' mode and it basically does everything that the Blizz Floating COmbat Text option provides, but SCT provides a whole bunch more options and configurability.  I spent some time looking at them yesterday and concluded the SCT option was better than Blizzard's for me personally.
