We have a new portal 'in development' and it will have much more prominance very shortly.  The announcement is a temporary solution as several games are due out very shortly which people will pre-order and buy, so we just wanted the link out there ASAP - in this case before the web side of things is fully ready.

How bit a % do dMw get when using affiliates link, as i can generally get the games cheaper and with a lot lower postal fee here in dk, so i might just buy the game here and donate cash via PP instead :)

This site doesn't have postal fees (atleast not to the Netherlands) and the site is lots cheaper then when I want to buy the games from any Dutch online store.

I have added a few new affiliate links which have just been set up.  We now have access to about 1,000 different affiliate programs and I would therefore ask all members to think carefully about which businesses you place orders with on a regular basis either for you yourself personally, for family & friends or for your business.  If there are businesses that you purchase form regularly then please post here and I will check to see if there is an affiliate program link open to dMw.

It varies from affiliate to affiliate, from goods type to goods type, from value or volume per type, so you'll understand that it is not practicable to list a percentage figure.  Usually it is a single figure percentage, but that can be high or low single figure percentagers and it could be better or worse.

I am simply asking out of curiosity. When buying stuff it is nice to know how much it serves dMw :) Could you give some examples?

Yes, I gathered what TL wrote. But, unless there is some unspoken reason why percentages should not be disclosed, I cannot see why examples are ruled out. Better yet, links to how the affiliate programs and percentages work. That should also leave the complexity and variation in the diff. programs for me to understand and not for admins to spend time explaining.
 
Not knowing if I will support dmw with £ 0.01 or £ 10.00 matters for me, when I am to choose where to buy from. If the support from a purchase is considerable in my book, I might take the shop with longer delivery time. Or if the dmw support amount is very marginal I would take the shop closest to myself. So I ask for what I believe is a very valid reason and one that would encourage ppl to support the affiliate program more, ceteris paribus :)

It's not unspoken at all DV, in fact I pointed out why it was not practical.  But for those really keen on knowing the pennies, here's an idea of what I mean.  Knock yourself out......

Oh and please remember the list and amounts will change without notice.  So what you read now could be complete bollox by the time you buy something from your preferred retailed.  Trust me, I have no intention of monitoring changes and keeping things up to date, I have better things to do with my time!  If you feel real pervy about the numbers, go read up at Tradedoubler.com as they are one of the people we use, but not the only people we use!

The link is correct, it appears there is an issue with it at the moment as it goes via Tradedoubler (as you will see from the URL).  Hopefully this will be resolved very shortly.
