it's out links on totalBF2.com (http://www.totalbf2.com) frontpage
not on the main BF2 website though?
Both servers (AAS and PoE2) updated to 1.4.
Lets find out what is broken :lmfao:
PS Remember to unmount your BF2 image BEFORE patching if you use Daemon Tools and remember to remount it when you finish.
Also don't forget to delete the contents of the "Battlefield 2/mods/bf2/cache/" folder in "My Documents" before starting BF2 after patching.
it won't let me join the PoE2 server due to my version having been modified? both PoE2 and then BF2 1.3-->1.4 applied successfully
edit: I can join our AAS server fine, but not the PoE2 one ... I guess maybe it's something like the 1.4 patch overwriting something that would otherwise let me play PoE2? Only thing I can think of ... time for food :)

Nope same for everyone. POE guys are on it and will release a patch shortly
damn slow download 48kb/s<_<
EA downloader is giving out error messages and it's not on x-fire yet
OB, Sulky, Doorman and myself had a pleasant hour or so on 1.4 tonight. It played very smoothly however I did all the sensible things before updating (deleting cache and unmounting mini image in daemon tools).
I have only seen one bug so far and although it is annoying it isn't terminal: When you join a server you can't join a section until you spawn

It was bloody obvious that the patch was going to come out today, what do you expect after installing the POE server files.

It was my way of hurrying it along. If I'd done nothing we'd still be waiting in 2 months time :)
I need a decent link plz!
Anyone?
Got 1...
There is a small patch on the POE website for servers to fix the 1.4 issue.
Just seen it. Will download and apply today

It stops Punkbuster from accusing you of having "modified content" and actually ALLOWS you to connect to the server - fairly useful I'm sure you'll agree
very useful indeed ;)
nicely done

LoL :P. After the amount of complaints about these issues to ea about this i am surprised they listened to me :).
Downloading
I've tried Road to Jalalalalabad. The map feels really nice and in a 64p version it could be really cool. Many buildings to fight your way past, flags are (generally) harder to capture.
OutOfSync - when do you play BF2, and do you enable x-fire beforehand?
Downloaded it at work yesterday, but didn't have a CDR to take it home on , so I took my laptop and FTPed it across my LAN.
Installed successfully, unlike previous patches which didn't like installing on a SATA RAID pair.
Had a quick blast on the Road to Jellybelly, looked nice and the new no vehicle option could be interesting. Didn't crash either even with an OCed FSB and GPU.

xfire on most of the time, but I have been secretly practicing at LFS and not getting any better:angry:
