As you might know already I brought my warrior in guild last week ( Malagant ) so I wonder.
Do we need DPs warrior or protection warrior. Currently he is Arms 21 / fury 30.
I have both exprience in tanking and dps. I gladly respec to protection on demand.
depends on if he's gonan get a chance at raids, it seems very variable atm, sometimes lots of prot and no dps in a raid sometimes no prot at all (bad).
I respecced Umbra to 37/14 fury last night :)
As long as you have, what 4 prot warrs? and a mortal strike in there, you're probably ok in most raids. AQ40 sometimes needs 6 tanks but the mobs are smallish so it's ok if the dps warrs have some good gear.
Find out where he will be able to raid :)
Well the question is can you tank in MC with your current gear? If not, I'd suggest to stick to the spec you have and change to prot once you're geared up a bit.

awh, little offtopic: I respecced to 2h fury today, so no Mortal Strike in RG1 atm, ups.
Just for the note, a little off track i know...
We should consider having more DPS warriors in RG1... or asking prot specced to respecc. its needed in Naxx more than a prot warrior (if those prots show up that is :P)
Besides all those DPS warriors can tank stuff i know, ive seen it.
Thanks for your kind responds, atleast I know where I stand now, and I'll stick to my dual wield pwnage till I get some gear.
anyway respeccing is not a problem for me have experince in both sides (tanking/Dpsing) so anytime anywhere:tongue:
I currently have my warrior in tank build as i had low dps in my fury build only around 20%. But get some good def gear too you need at least 350 defence before going into MC, and some descent Fire Resistance at least over 200.

you cant ask that to the ppl that devoted the last year as a prot tank...
i for one wont do that..
also remember that we aint just doing naxx..(atm we just do little tiny bits of that place) were doing bwl and aq40 and prot tanks are needed there
Of course Prot tanks are needed in Naxx. Its just that end game fully epicced dps warriors with pre naxx gear can do a sick amount of dps, its insane, so they do very well here.
