Post by: Gone_Away on September 09, 2006, 12:04:22 AM
OK Boys and Girls.. The moment you've all been waiting for. Here is the list of officially supported games. This list is not exhaustive and I'm sure there'll be many games going to cater to most tastes:

Thanks to Sheepy, GhostMjr and Doorman for their assistance

  • WOW - This is supported but due to the lack of bandwidth it will be ad hoc at best.
Sorry for my not too good English, but what does ad hoc mean in this context?

AD HOC  - Basically this will not be running all the time and it will not be organised in advnced.
If there is something that you want me to do  regarding WoW then please wisper me and I shall try to do something but I believe that the connection is no more than 1mb going in to the hotel so it may be a bit spradic.

Just set up some QoS in the main router, so say 80-90% of that bandwith is dedicated to my computer, and I'll be happy

Hey, that's not a nice attitude towards us foregin people :yell:

But I'm bringing my BF2 CDs as well, so I guess I won't get bored if I can't play WoW for a weekend.  And I've heard rumors about there being beer at the hotel as well... :flirty:

Dude, LAN = meeting people, have a laugh/pint with them, after start gaming. Really, enjoy yourself, get to know the faces behind the weird names and it's okay.

Ad Hoc - latin meaning 'for this purpose'
essentially: [SIZE=-1]Something that is ad hoc or that is done on an ad hoc basis happens or is done only when the situation makes it necessary or desirable, rather than being arranged in advance or being part of a general plan.

Hoping to be there for a night, but there seems a lack of RTS games, do you people not like making huge bases then oblterating/humiliating/destroying entire civilisations?

Some people did play Command and Conquer against eachother.
For the rest, if you have a nice game, what is it?

How about DungeoKeeper! I used to play that a lot. Multi-player was good fun to. I'm sure you can download it for free now.

Not sure what you refer to. The "tourny" only refers to the lan tournament of which there is no further requirement.
