I found myself heavily frustrated last night (and I wasn´t the only one), not being able to complete the quest "The calling". In the end we got it solved and the officers promised that we could do it next time we are doing AQ40. So far so good.
However, I realized that I may not be the only one getting frustrated by not being able to complete some quests and here is my proposal in short:
Proposal:
How about that we set aside 1 hour every week where we help each other finishing quests. This should include both RGs and it could be done on saturday or sunday afternoons (lets say from 3-4). If ppl believe this is a good idea, we can discuss how set it up.
All the best

I woud love to help. just not posible for me in the week days after the raid. As I need to get to bed, so I am rdy for work the day after.
But the weekends will be a good spot to do things like this. :narnar:

Hmmm. nah I won't say it.
Another thread (http://www.deadmen.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?t=15957) of interest.
I think you have to remember that raid quests will always be more difficult. It is exceptionally difficult to pull 40 people together for the main raids, let alone a quest, so the difficulty is always going to be there. That's part of the challenge - the same challenge I will face in trying to get enough people to do the Sceptre quest line.
I'm not sure a happy hour will help as mos tpeople help as and when help is needed. SO a happy hour will not help party quests, is unlikely to help 10-15 person raid quests and is therefore left trying to help 40 person raid quests, which it probably will not due to the fact that 40 people will not get online for it.
Just keep trying is the best answer and accept the fact that some raid quests are almost impossible and will take time and a bit of luck to complete.
TL.
Personally I think this is a good idea and I think I've mentioned it before, that it would be a Very Good Idea if once a week one of the RGs (alternate) dedicated an hour to some of these various attunement quests, whether its sending 8 groups of people off to help do JB/Drakki blood or a raid to do the calling or whatever, these things will go faster with an organised group of experienced people and will result in more people available for raids and happier guildies
Yes! helping out in general getting those damned pesky quests over with. And Ubrs, Lbrs etc is god fun.
The poll doesn't contain any answers for me.
I don't have the quest but I do want to help out..... I'm ofton online comming days.....
D.
I think this is a good idea also. Maybe possible to use the site we are currently using for aq/zg raid to announce upcoming events so people can sign up there?
that too. people must remember that it's not just BWL/MC/AQ/ZG that need a decent group. and there are times i've seen alot of people at different times ask for a run somewhere wait an hour then get disheartened and log off, then a few mins later someone else does the same lol.
If there were a nice mechanism in place for 'random instance runs' it would be very cool, like RG1 could split up into 4-6 groups and run people thru stuff
Orrrr we could just do what we do now, i help you there and you can return the favor later in a different matter
like i helped dajo / optical with their scepter quest recently
and they helped me to train my tanking skills a little and find out if i could keep agro when dajo was also bashing my mob with all his DPSness
also this "happy hour" would probably result in people "having to help" and looking like an ass if they just want to do something for themself
No, it would not be a forced thing at all, no one would have to help, it jsut means people would know there is a time that is optimum for seeking/offering help.
what happens now works to some extent but really could be alot easier for the helpers and helpees.
basically people post/sign what they want doing, some in charge dude says 'right, we have this much time we can do x,y and z quests, people who are happy to help sign up and it goes ahead, there;s no reason to quash this idea becuase there is no onus upon anyone to do it.
see the poll TL put up for getting some sceptre stuff done, exactly like that, arrange dates and times for certain things, get people organised to help, if they want, in advance
