With the introduction of SOG and the growth of ACL we decided to create our own free forum.
The reasons are what has been mentioned in a previous post.
Some small part is that our small guild is just that a small guild tucked in the corner.
And a bit more privacy of our own area.
If you would like to discuss this further we can do it through PM's or Admin section.

Well we could move on and that would be that. However, there is an underlying problem in that it would appear that people feel they cannot ask their own community for help - for whatever reason it is - and they end up feeling they have to do their own thing (and no I'm NOT comparing this to the other event in any way other than in the fact that they could have done what they wanted to do if they had spoken to the community and said "Hey guys what about this".)
This community is run for the benefit of it's members. Therefore if the guys who get together as ACL needed something special it would have been nice if they approached the community and asked if we could help. If the admins have acted in some way that people feel that they cannot approach us then that worries me and we need to fix the perception that people have so they get full benefit of being part of this community (we are the best after all :narnar:).
Everything above posted in the spirit of "I really want to understand so I can do it better" :)

You are not causing aggro. We are just trying to understand why you didn't come to YOUR community in order to get what you needed. We're trying to understand what we need to do to best help our members but if you won't tell us we can't do much can we?
I got to admit I'm with OB & BB here, not really sure what went on that you felt you needed to set up solo. You have the right to, nobody is questioning that, it's just there's a feelingof disappointment that you did not feel happy here - and the things you said only add to the confusion (well certainly for me anyway). I just don't understand this bit:

Not sure what to make of it that's all, maybe a beer at the LAN will help me understand as you had a private area just for ACL and you didn't want access to SOG, so that's why I'm confused. :unsure: We just figured that the ACL forum wasn't getting used as nobody had said anything.
Anyway, we'll archive this section in due course and hopefully we'll get a better handle on where we went wrong from you in due coruse. As BB said, if you didn't get what you asked for then we need to work on our delivery skills.
For my part I've worked tirelessly to try to get some better integration - I whisper ACL whenever I can to invite to raids and parties, I'm just sorry it hasn;t come to more. Not sure what else I can do :sad:
