hi folks in for a new challenge ?
well iam
the upcomming Twin Emperors (http://www.deadmen.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?t=12557) i see forward to it !!
as we all should do is read the tactics minimal 2 times and go to sleep and dream about it
then wake up go look for some movies @ http://video.google.com (http://video.google.com/)
they are all the same but then you know atleast what is gonna happing that raid :dribble:
then go to work drink some coffee and start browsing the WEB !!
then hug youre boss
Just to highlight.... it is best to use Two tanks and Two warlocks to tank the bosses switching as required. (That is one of each on each side).
you need two  are warriors should use power blink :yell:
Just hope you locks are up for it

In this fight you're a tank. And still squishy
Btw, gratz to Strontiumdog who for this fight now has his Shadow Resistance up over 300 already
TL.
I'm looking so much forward to this fight, and good job Strontium!! Awesome going.
I think I wachted the Twin movies like 5 times now :blush2:

Actually, locks are pretty good at tanking casters.
1. They generate a shitload of threat, so keeping aggro shouldn't be much of a problem  .
2. They have a lot of health. So they can take a decent amount of pounding before they die. Their health buffer is even larger if they have soul link; which will increase the damage they can take before they die by 43% ( 1-(100/(100-30))*100% ).
3. The only class that, currently, mitigates more spell damage are warriors (10% from defencive stance).
Even more reduction if they have a Void out with the -10% dmg reduc....
i think its only physical dmg, but felhunter gives resist bonuses, which you will need on that fight (the emp shadow bolts ppl for close to 4,5k)

Correct, it's only physical.
Ok, no one so far has said 'why' locks need to tank at all.
maybe i should look at tactics, but it's so much effort :P

Vek'lor is immune to melee - so guess what!
They also both use proximity aggro not threat.
Locks can build high aggro quickly and allow us to crank up the DPS to make sure we down them within 15 mins.

Because Vek'lor is immune to physical damage  .
Edit: Bah TL beat me to it.
In addition the other reasons are high HP, soul link and the shadow res buffs we can get.
One thing I did think of btw they way, is that with the felhunter out I of course loose the blood pact which drops me to around 4.4k hp with SR gear on. I think that in each tank 'group' we will need another lock to give us that imp buff as apprently the locks need to get around 8k hp.
If anyone can cook food for +stamina effects or have any recommendations of other pots/food we can use please let me know and I'll try and get a hold of them.
(p.s To the other locks Felhunter buff and Priest 10 min SR buff do stack, however GoTW is cancelled out by the Priest Buff. )
Quote from: StrontiumDog;150185GoTW is cancelled out by the Priest Buff. )
uh.. not really...
Uh, it is at least the shadow resistance part of it anyway.
Quote from: StrontiumDog;150279Uh, it is at least the shadow resistance part of it anyway.
you cant have multiple buffs that add res, the largest one wins,
BUT youlle still retain ALL the rest of the Gotw benefits
like i said..it cancels out the resistance part :P
which it dont read like, it should say GOTW and priest shadow buff/pala aura dont stack, but felhunter does stack with priest/pala shadow buff
ok so locks needed to build aggro, but won't they get the usual squishy treatment:
Strontiumdog attacks
smear Strontiumdog up the nearest wall
eats Strontiumdog's viscera as an entrée
i.e. cloth = splat
hence the shadow res, allmost all his attacks are those shadowbolts he does. melee hit is fairly weak, but hes imune to all physical attacks. The other fool is magic imunne and can only be hit by melee.
wtb balanced group plx
Hence and the need for soul link, massive SR and probably a flask of titans....and any +stamina pots etc we can get!
