If I gotta pay again to ride, I'll make Blizzard regret the day they set up their company :ranting2:
The day that happens, you'll see a beserking Priest who executes Blizz HQ for OMFG***BBQ with his Big Ben

they're just switching the price of epic mount into new "riding skill" for epic mount as far as I understand it, conclusion you will pay 20g more if you train for normal riding skill.

"Furthermore, if you already have an epic mount, you will have 150 riding next patch, so you wont have to train it."

soo.. to get an epic mount you gotta pay 900g for the riding skill and you will be able to ride all factions epic mounts and the epic mounts themself will then cost 100g and its will be 90g for the 'blue' riding skill and 10g for the blue mount?

So now paladins and warlocks need to do the quest for the epic mount and pay 900g? Sounds a bit harsh as they are supposed to get the mount cheaper then others.

That would suck, but I doubt that will happen. Although there hasn't been any official statement about this as far as I know; they're still considering it  .

think that everyone who has the riding skill allready will have 150 skill, if not blizzard won't be a big compagnie for so long, muahaha

If you got a regular mount you will get 75 riding skill if you got an epic one you'll get 150 riding skill. So nothing will change really. The total price for riding skill + mount are still the same. The only result this change has is that buying several mounts will become cheaper.

The paladin/warlock dont have a mount. they have a spell. so i doubt they need it still.

Something else tho, with respect to the post Irulan (I think0 made about crusader not being best enchant because of buff slots... the new patch says:

'Most enchantments on items are no longer counted against the maximum limit of effects a player can have on them, so it should be much harder for a player to exceed their max limit on effects and have one be removed involuntarily.'

yay

Why did they ever have this limit in the first place? Why stop someone, if they've got all the pots and stuff, from getting every buff in the game useful to them at the same time?

because then you can't really predict performance, or guarantee it even, if a mob was spammed with 1000 debuffs there would probably be some nasty slowdown, either that or some coder just used a static array for storing buff data :/

It's because the server software was implemented that way. Probably for performance reasons and memory limitations.

I did read that they will increase the debuff limit in the expansion some time ago, but I can't remember where  .

That makes sense. Argh! Shows how long it's been since I did any programming, that using a static array didn't occur to me. Performance issues make sense too though. I keep forgetting just how much is done server-side in these games, due to the sheer number of users

aye, you can't set a spec for a server if a major aspect of the software has no limits, and it can help to preserve server performance if it's limited to something small. Also, maybe a part of the gameplay, like restricting raids to 40 man, 20 man or 10 man, is restricting number of buffs, since then, like choosing your classes, makes you choose your buffs :)

and lol@Carr0t's sig, Firefyl ftw

it really doesnt matter.  you'll end up paying exactly the same.
the only difference is that in the past yu could get someone with the 20% discount to buy the mount for u, thus saving some $$. But now that the mount is a lot cheaper that doesnt help that much anymore.
