Me at Broodlord last night. Considering that I don't have an ideal spec for it and it was my first time tryinf it, not to bad

Was cool, but then again the healers in SOG are the best. So we thought, if we have to spare 1 healer to tank a boss, who is that
GZ on the tanking Vargen :yahoo:
Gratz Vargen.
Well done with your kitty spec  .
One suggestion though. Spam swipe additional threat once you get above 30 rage. It generates more hate then FFF and can be effectively used as rage dump. I didn't see you using it in the video, even though you had a full rage bar  .
he was so hyper he pulled before we was ready  good show vargen
I used swipe a few times, but I tried to use Maul as much as possible. Didn't know swipe had that high threat :g:
To be honest, i wasn't entirely ready myself
Yep, you should maul on every attack. Btw swipe does actually generate a decent amount of threat, since it has the same multiplier attached to it as maul. The down side is that it does a set amount of damage and thus does not scale.
Threat wise, Maul > swipe > FFF > Demo roar.
For those interested; generating aggro in bear form is pretty easy:
-Maul on every attack -- threat generated = damage * 175%.
-Swipe when above 30 rage -- threat generated = damage * 175%.
-If you're below 30 rage use FFF instead, since it's free -- threat generated = a set amount of 124.
Maul and swipe+FFF are on seperate cooldowns, so it shouldn't be a problem to spam both at the same time if you have sufficient rage.
Bears will generate 130% aggro by default, just like defencive stance (145% with talents).
The fact that our threat relies on damage alone has as advantage that our threat scales with our gear. But on the other hand it reduces our ability to generate threat on highly armored mobs. But generally speaking a druid generates way more threat then any other class.
There is an 'epic' post on the US druid forums that explains everything you need to know about druid tanks in more detail: http://forums.worldofwarcraft.com/thread.html?topicId=12904045&sid=1. It discusses all the advantages and disadvantages of druid tanks as well; personally I think this is a must read for every feral druid and raid leader.
