New ED:CS Rule - 32bit enforcement
With the new AC version released today, we can now announce our new rule for ED:CS. We are now enforcing 32bit graphics within all official matches. This is mainly due to the few people who misuse 16bit to gain an unfair advantage over others, so please all the people who are now saying "my computer can't handle that" ... don't blame us, go blame the cheaters who have forced our hand in this matter.
The official ruling is:

8.7 32bit graphics are mandatory for all CS official games. This can be checked by all users ED:AC screenshots from ED:AC 0.5 onwards. People caught using 16bit graphics will have a 1 week ban placed on them and told to up their graphics to 32bit. Repeat offenders will have heavier bans placed and maybe banned from playing in ED.

Because the AC is not mandatory yet and people won’t see this rule, people will not be currently banned straight away until one month after this post (20th October). If people are caught in this interim period using 16bit they will be told to use 32bit. If after this warning they are caught again, then they will be banned for one week. After the 20th October people will be banned on the spot. You have been warned so please make our lives and your lives easier and abide by this rule.

EDAC 0.5
As I'm sure a lot of you found out last night 0.5 has been released. Due to bugs in the last auto-updater if you haven't got 0.4 installed you will need to uninstall all older versions from Control Panel, install 0.4 (found on the downloads page) and then run it. This should then auto-update to 0.5 If you already have 0.4 installed, it should simply update when you next run it.
We have removed the screenshot deletion code as we had some issues with the server responses in peak usage times, resulting in screenshots being deleted before they were uploaded. The EDAC will not delete any screenshots from your computer now so if any are deleted we know it's by you! If you are 100% you have 0 pending screenshots on your EDAC profile (not simply if the EDAC responds none to upload.. in case of the afformentioned bug) you can delete the screenshots from your PC. I stress again though, you must be sure you're pending on your EDAC profile is 0, we will not be taking any excuses if you deleted them before they were uploaded successfully.

Just one note, if for any reason you cant get EDAC running (and there's only 1 or 2 now) then screenshot the error incase anyone argues about it. :)
Might be a good idea tohave the system clock open too, always helps to have current time and date showing.:biggrin:
