I just got the license, so hopefully might be on tonight - ill children permitting - do I need to download owt?
If you've bought the licence, download the demo and unlock it. The demo is the full thing, just limited until unlocked.
If you need to ask summat, you've got my phone number/email, yes?
Wheyhey! When you fire it up it should say LFS ALPHA 0.5U20 on the bottom of the first screen.
Then you spend hours shovelling gravel out of your RAC and swearing at anything.

oui, what about setups etc.
(the reason I bought it was as I was told by one of the other fairies that I could drop in and out of races if I needed to - obviously without affecting the rest of you)
Setups are easy, either ask us using ventrilo or T for text chat and we'll bung one across. Or one of the setup farmers will, I've a limited selection.
Press N to get the connection list in-game, someone's name will have a green S by it to indicate they've sent a setup, click it and you'll get prompted for a name to save it as, it'll then be available in the Garage (ESC then PITS) screen but not the pit lane on a stop.

That's the area that lfs scores on every time, accessibility. Handling/physics are better imo. I know Sn00ks has improved out of sight over GTL. :taz:
I just remembered. You'll need this: Pitspotter (http://www.finnglish.co.uk/Stuff/pitspotter.zip)
Extract it to your main LFS folder and start LFS with the Pitspotter.exe
It lets you know when someone is inside, outside or clear.
First off, how are the kids? Secondly, A great debut tonight. :thumb:
I enjoyed it, until the jealous team ganged up and made a man sandwich outta me..
I did enjoy it, takes some adjusting to after GTL. Liking the cornering (that long tightening one you can power slide round was nice). Struggled a little with the gears, not as immeadiately apparent in the sound as to when to change, so was revving high a lot.
Damage model is nice, pits are good, and I didn't feel that far off the pace.
(I'll be back tonight - kids permitting)
(oh and GTR2 got some blinding reviews, is that next?) ;)

Yeah, I saw it. A bit mean I thought.

You can turn on a dashboard light that comes on at optimum revs. Options\View I think.

Depends who's doing the reviewing. It's just another GTR/GTL clone with exactly the same things that irritate. I expect it'll sell in millions though. I read it had been dumbed down to appeal to a wider audience. The argument goes: "These GTR cars are not difficult to drive IRL, my wife could drive one"
