After another superb Lan i would like to thank all that orgnised and allowed the lan to run so smoothly. Firstly to Oldbloke and Pen for setting up and running the event. Also to Sheepeh and Ninja for organising the tournaments.I hope to see you all again in April :D.
Yeah great lan, we'll be back in april ...****ers
Good gaming again. Loads of new faces and good to see some old gits again aswell. I hope the OBC-guys had fun aswell.
The Shuttle went really well and I even got BF-2142 now (Demo).
Untill next time!
Yep superb LAN as allways!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Another great LAN:biggrin:
thanks to all the organisers (I won't name names in case I miss someone out)
great to see you all again/for the 1st time8)
Made it home in a record 3 1/2 hrs!
roll on April
Yes, an immense thanks is due to all the organisers, fetchers and carriers.
Were there any more than the rumoured 2 pukers?
What was Lib eating to smell like that, inner tubes and wasabi?
Did Sheepy's cow survive or did DA finish it off (possibly being sick?)
Bob/Throb/Threb was dropped off safely at Heathrow so any delays on onward journey isn't my fault.
I hope you guys all had fun & make it home safely, I know I've struggled a couple of times to even be able to see on a sunday nevermind anything else, shame I missed this one, but I'm due to go into hospital & I figured I better keep my calender clear just incase.
Riz? Hospital? What's up?
BFC: I hope thebri, thebro....BOB, got through customs in time. Stansted was really difficult to get through customs. Delan and Mono really had to cut inline just to make it to their plane (just making it). At customs they did get pulled aside for their briefcases and computerparts (guys, next time don't wear the fancy suits, I got a tip that you get pulled aside then). The guy behind the monitor was like, *** is that all in there...:lmfao:
I was lucky though as the girl from customs saw that I had a "complete" case and didn't get pulled aside.:norty:
When I made my way to the plane the boarding started 20 minutes before the normal departure time and it ended up in 35 minutes delay as loads of people couldn't get through customs in time. I allready calculated the time I had when going out the plane to get to the trains. I just got the last train from the airport and the doors closed right behind when I got in the train. I got back home at 00.30 in the morning...A bit of luck but then again, it was a good weekend for me.
Double headshot with a scout on Source and knifing 2 people in a row. For the rest winning the 2 vs 2 de_Eagle tourny and the BF2 one.

He should have done, is flight was at 1930 and I got him to departures at 1440. He wasn't carrying much hardware as he used mostly my(and NJafrks) spares.

Well, it all depends on the check in time and if there was a queue or not.
Delan and Mono's check in time was around 35 minutes before mine (2 hours before flight) but then there still was a waiting line of 1.5 hour or so before customs.
Ahwell, we'll await his reply here then.
I had a good time and I know the other OBC guys did. All looking forward to the next one. Lets set a date soon!
Had a great time as usual - thanks to the organisers!
It was great to meet the old faces and new ones - and in particular to Bearbison and Magnus for making their first dMw LAN - they both said they'd be back
I really enjoyed the BF2 comp (well done team!), Duvel your a sneaky bugger, glad you where on our side :norty:

I think that will be the last time we'll play together at the LAN. Seems like the opposition didn't really like the team setup .
Had a big laugh with Bearbison with the TK-ing before the matches.
GG's all!

Team 3 had a slight disadvantage in that DA and TL were trying to cast spells, Fatbob was looking for a buy script and I couldn't find the suspension setup for the M1.

Just to echo everyone else's comments:
Thanks to Sheepy for organising the keyrings
Thanks to Ninja_Freak and Sheepy for organising the games
Thanks to the photographers
Thanks to those who donated prizes
and thanks to you lot for coming
Slightly more sedate this time round - no real late night gaming in the Saturday but nevertheless it was good fun as always,
Nice to meet the [OBC] fellas and hope they enjoyed it.
Also nice meeting some more of the overseas contingent (Mono and Threb).
now, does anyone else want a keyring? :roflmao:

First of all, I'd just like to say thanks to everyone for a most memorable weekend - I had a great time!!
It went pretty smooth the whole way home. When BFC dropped me off at Heathrow, I had about 4.5 hours untill the plane was leaving, so no stress. The lines infront of the security check wasn't too long either, but ofcourse I got stopped - my backpack with 2 HDs, 20 meter cat5 cable, PDA, camera, keyboard etc. didn't look too good at the x-ray screen. The lady infront of the monitor also got a bit of a strange look on here face when she saw there was a hand in there as well (dMw helping hand reward)
I landed safe at Trondheim airport at 0:30 (Norwegian time), and was back in my appartment at around 1:30 - a bit tired, but full of good memories, so that didn't really matter!
(http://img83.imageshack.us/img83/5053/dmwlanx017ig5.th.jpg) (http://img83.imageshack.us/img83/5053/dmwlanx017ig5.jpg)
Said reward is now in place at the finest position in my room. Getting it was definetly unexpected, but it was for shure a most pleasant surprise! I suspect that its meaning this year was to the one that was given the most number of helping hands - cause I shure stood out a bit there 8).
With that in mind, there is also a couple of people that I'd like to give a special thanks to:
BFC: picking me up at/driving me back to Heathrow, and also getting together a computer and a monitor on such a short notice for me :toast:
Ninja: bringing along an extra gfx card so that I managed to run a couple of games at a decent standard
My left and right side-kick - Sheepy and Duvel: had a great time at my place between you two :yahoo:
All the admins/managers: great job getting this whole thing together, fixing the hotel, setting up the room, running compos and servers - I'm truly impressed :worship:
I'd also like to give a big thanks to everybody there (and the dMw community in general) for being so friendly and helpful and making me feel that welcome - I had a blast, and will definetly come back for the next one as well
Btw, I also notice that you guys still have a bit of a problem with my name... perhaps I just ought to change it to Bob asap, so it won't cause any more tongue spasms or other kind of harm than it already has :narnar:
PS: if I forgot someone in my list up there (which I probably did), I'll make it up to you and buy you a pint or three on the next lan - see you there

Well, It turns out my left kidneys knackered, I've already been in once for one of - These (http://www.bui.ac.uk/patientinformation/uretericstent/ureteric.htm) , not excactly the most comfortable thing i've ever had forcably inserted into me, & I've gotta go for another op as they found whilst ramming that into me what the problem is & I gotta have a bit of the tube that connects my kidney to my bladder removed as its too thin for some reason & its not letting the juice loose.

You're most welcome, Heathrow was more or less en route and it saved me talking to myself for 2 hours on the drive up.
If time allows, prehaps we'll blow something up properly next time. Real flame and smoke, not just a few blue flashes and popping noises.

Holy sh, er, cow!
Bets wishes for a speedy recovery.

Yes, please :D
Perhaps I'll also bring some of my own stuff than too, so I don't have to blow up your stuff :lmfao:

Obviously, you're not taking the p**s enough:eyebrow:
please try harder:narnar:
seriously though...get well soon:wub:
First of all, thanks for a great LAN. It's definitely been worth the trouble, money and the sweat we had to bleed to make our flight on sunday :)
As Threb/Bob said, thanks for making us feel welcome. It's nice to be in the presence of such relaxed and funny people :)
Thanks to Ninja for getting me there (just barely in one piece) on friday and deserting me there on sunday :tumbleweed:  Big thanks to DA for helping me out there!
A big thanks to Ron for ensuring that I'll never race sims again without a similar setup (well, except for that /=#(=)("/ shifter
