Title: AQ40: BG Sartura
Post by: Bastet on October 13, 2006, 11:16:10 AM
Can we please all remember to brush up on the tactics and see if we cant figure out what went wrong last night?

Any ideas/hints/stuff you saw can go here.

For myselfs i noticed that last night a lot of ppl kept hugging the entrance where they died by the bundle. And seamingly the same ppl died by the cluster early on. Leaving to few ppl to finish it off.
Possibly solution: right from the start, chosing the best time to run in spread out as much as you can, making sure you have enough space to run from satura w/o dragging her over other ppl. Possibly asign groups to certain spots.

Seemed like the biggest problem was cloth users not moving when the boss came after them. Thereby we lost dps and healing. Paladins can survive 3-4 whirlwind attacks, so cloth users can survive 1-2 i guess

If the boss moves in their direction, they should move right away... dont wait for that spell to kick in, coz then you're dead

At the start of the fight if satura has any bodyguards close to her and comes near you, then you get the bodyguard Aoe plus the 2k satura hit its basically insta-death for most of us squishes.
On a personal note i was trying to keep up with my druid teddy and tank to keep them up but as soon as i stop stilll to chuck a heal out i was losing range on 1 or the other or both !! then if an add comes along and gets between me and them it means i gotta find a way to get back to them which was getting me killed alot last night.
Its really weird but i couldnt see anything different being done last night that we dont usually do.
any ideas anyone :g:

Well also clothies were running away from the tank. If they were running to the tank they wouldn't have to die for the tank to be able to reach taunting range. Just think what we do on Shazzrah, this is simply 4 mobs that reset aggro in the same way.

We could use Paladins to off-tank Sartura's minions instead of pure resto Druids. Paladins have higher armor and a personal panic room if they are in danger, we have fur and fat...

well normally i stand next to a bunch of healers and taunt her away when she aggroes a caster, but i can only cover a side
