Im ok with Tuesday and Thursday.

We need to move fast if this is to be done... If we dont, we lose members, if we do we lose members..... So i guess on long terms and for the good of the guild (SoG One) we could force a move.

RG2 Change of Raid Days
This debate has been a on-going one, with the Marshalls of RG2 now after a long time period of discussing this we have decided to change the raid day from a Monday to a Tuesday.

This will allow us to raid on the same days as RG1 and also free up time for Guild events.

This release is not something we have put much thought into, we know we might be loosing some of our players but believe in the end this is the right descission.

I hope that you will support both me and the Marshalls in what we are releasing now, for the moment Mondays run will still go ahead and we will be going to BWL.

This will be the last Monday RG2 raids on and from the following week we will be going live on Tuesdays.

Maybe we should have removed my thread about not moving the days in Announcements (http://www.deadmen.co.uk/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=180) by a Officer first.

What you need to do is probably prepare the argument for why you changed your mind as moving the thread will not remove people's memory of it.  In the announcement you can defuse a lot of criticism by addressing the reasons for the change and carefull wording (like avoiding mistakes like "This release is not something we have put much thought into"!!!).

Yea that might not the words we need to use, maybe the word "not" should be removed.

Yeah apart from that small typo? It sounds good. Now I would love that the only one replying to feedback from RG2 in the new thread (not yet made) would be OA. This way we will ensure we face the possible critism as a team of Marshalls.

So we can debate it in Marshalls forums, and then OA can post a reply in the public announcment thread. This way we wont be confused about what the one Marshalls said and what the other said.

Can we agree on this Marshalls?

And btw i'll estimate that from the 6 people we stand to lose, 50% of them will work it out anyways I think.

Also the post might need a bit more explanation of why we move it, there more you cut it out to them, the less questions we should face afterwards.

Also the marshals have yet to reach a conclusion on dropping MC alltogether. Since the void caused would be filled by SOG One raids.

RG2 Change of Raid Days

This debate has been a on-going one, with the Marshalls of RG2 now after a long time period of discussing this we have decided to change the raid day from a Monday to a Tuesday.

Why now you ask? the reason is that before i myself could not commit to Tuesdays, for my job made this day impossible. I have now left that job, and have Tuesdays free so able to participate. As before i was the only Marshall not able to commit therfore we decided to prospone, but now feel this is the right time for this change.

I can see there will be a few upset people out there and for that i appologise, but this is a right move which makes sence for the guild. We will now have both raid groups raiding on the same day. This will free up more time for guild events and allow the new commanders another day for organising.

I do hope that you will support both me and the Marshalls in what we have decided, for the moment Mondays run will still go ahead and we will be going to Black Wing Lair.

This will be the last Monday RG2 raids on and from the following week we will be going live on Tuesdays.

Can I suggest you immediately start (a) talking to those who might not be able to raid and (b) start reviewing applicants to join RG2.

In addition, you might wish to consider carrying more than 7 per class if attendance is th eproblem and get the class to run a rota post (like RG1 classes do) to note who skipped a raid (due to class being full) and who's turn it will be to skip the next one.

Well im hoping as we will no longer raid mondays possibly setting up a MC on Monday as we have people in RG2 desperare for some descent gear.

I love the sound of the new post.

And great job OA, seems like you are having it under control atm. But do share some tasks with us if you feel like you are overloaded.

Okay maybe I am a bit conservative here - but why didn't we not move in the first place then?
I do think, there was only 1 voted yes to move the raiddays at that time, the rest didn't think it will do any good since TBC is coming soon.

I just got online again as i bought a usb wireless to my desktop, and i sometimes will be able to read and reply on forum, however its not possible to be online in WoW on this unstable connection, (damn long time until my own connection 6/11 :()
Again i dont see any problem in moving raiddays now that DA can make it too, but the reason why we didnt do it was that DA would not be able to make most of the tuesdays and therefore i would problerly be forced as raidleader very often... (Not that i dont mind doing it sometimes, but imo it should be the exeption rather than the rule as its DA job :D)

The move is a fact, and Im happy with the current replies on the forum post. Nothing negative.

This is a great thing for the guild. Free'd up monday's, and RG2 is now sync with RG1. This is also helping to show that RG1 and 2 are equal groups, and RG1 is not heaven. This will stop the lame excuse "I cannot raid mondays, and therefor im forced to join RG1"

All in all, great! :yahoo: :yahoo:

*sigh* I hope this wasn't happening, but it did and well as expected. Like I explained in the poll thread of this subject, I can and will not switch so that I can attend on Tuesdays for this game. I've got rugby training than and that goes ahead of this. So this would be it for my time as a Defender in this guild I think. My attendance wasn't great and now that it will be reduced to 50% per week, no way I can decently attend let alone get some DKP...
Seeing as raiding is all I've got one my Priest, well maybe I should quit this guild/game/whatever. No raiding = No fun on my Priest, and only attending the half of the raids isn't what I want. I want there to be as much as I can. Well I'm still in England and I'm not going to think about this till I get home late in October, it'll be settled than. :nope:

Well 50% would be better than your current attendance!!!!

sorry just had to do that...
