Hello all
Not only am I new to online racing but I am new to any form of online gaming.
Dipped my toe into online racing with GTL last weekend and loved it even tho my cortina was no match for all those 911's lol.
But did get mighty hacked off with those wreckers. So read a post at Race Sim Central that said if I registered with you dead guys I could look forward to some keen racing.
Ok, so here I am. What do I do now?
I am still progressing through the single player cup series so my garage isn't full of exotic machines yet but the Renault Alpine goes pretty quick!
Hope you guys will be nice to me and help me along. Or you could just duff me up!
Cheers
Tony
Wait for a guy called Doorman to answer in here. He's the guru of dMr and he'll be able to help you out (probably some others here can help out aswell though).
I think there's a way around to get all the cars but Doorman will tell you how. Browse a bit around the forum for some more info.
For the rest: Welcome to online gaming. It's really addictive, especially if you get to know a few people in games you like to play.
You found the right place Hampshire Bob, it's all good in 'ere.
There's a lot of action over on Live For Speed at the moment, but a lot of people have GTL as well so you should be well served. All standards turn up, from 'lucky' all the way through to 'fortunate' and even a few 's'okay I suppose's.
Either way, enjoy your stay.

Yes, GTL is waning a little, far more going on with LFS at the present time.
Enjoy your stay and don't get oil on the carpet or the garage floor.
BFG is right, Live for speed is THE racer at the moment. GTL had it's 15 minutes of fame and may well make a come back. The important thing is, you've found the right, maybe only, place to have fair online gaming. Welcome.
