Despite the fact that the burning crusade is now fast aproaching, we have done absolutely nothing about it yet, i sujest we start putting down some ideas about raiding and other stuff FAST, and also talk to the marshals and maybe even the commanders.
As it stands now we have a lot of ppl intrested in RG1 from RG2, and RG1 is beeing bigger then it can fit in one instance. Next to that RG2 holds a lot of casual raids that cant or wont commit to more raids. Also there are a lot of members in the soldier rank that want to raid.
I donno but by the looks of that we are looking at least 4 raidgroups, in what ever form they maybe. It requires some (or a lot of) thought and discussion.
Now the hard part in this is how to split the members up between these groups. I say we should build up several attendance plans, from hardcore to casual and let them choose themselfs.
Maybe a series of TS meetings is in order?
As we will not be changing RG1 or RG2's structure it will not affect them in any way whatsoever, so the changes are more additions. I'll talk to a few people I know to see what others are doing about BC.
The other thing to remember is that not everyone will have BC, so this kind of cuts down on your options too.
TL.
Make a poll about whos gonne get it sounds like the best idea then.
Also next to current raid groups? if naxx rewards become useless @ 65 or so, why bother keeping the current groups, just trash them and start from naught.
Because I think most people would like to raid with most the same people and friends as they had earlier before they were forced to split up. I know I would. Just because we're being forced to split some raidgroups up doesn't mean we have to split them up totally.
Kreuz has a valid point here. Splitting the raid groups isn't an easy thing to do. You have clicks and real life friends that will allways want to stay together. RG1 at least is a pretty tight team.
I would also like to mention Naxxramas as an issue. What will we do? Just skip it?
I think we would need to do it, not because of the gear but to do the bosses. Learning new tactics is a good thing.
