We need to redo MC before making progress in BWL......
Looking at our (dare I say it) embarrasing MC run last night, I can't say I totally disagree with you. Maybe not only for gearing up, but to learn to work better together.
All this has been taken in by Marshalls and there will be changes when the new expansion comes out. At this time we have lost many players to both other guilds ,rg1 and those just who had bad attendance and those with other reasons.
I do admit last nights run was bad, people did not listen, and other than me only other Marshalls are allowed to lead. At this time we have Priest/Rogue/Paladin and Druid Marshalls spots free. I would like you guys to see it from our point of view we are 5 Marshalls trying to help you guys through instances and we do not get paid to do this. We like helping others out and to be honest after last nights run i was quite annoyed and upset.
So..
1) I lead, or another marshall. (Continued taking over in this role will mean your removal, AND ONLY TANKS PULL!)
2) Wake up in runs, when we tell you to do something do it! From now on we will not be so kind to this if it continues i will just dispand the run. I have no time to waste.
3) Those who are doing their jobs well keep it up, this note is just to those who are slacking to get going if they want to be in RG2 if not then please leave.
4) Recruitment - If we didnt recruit new people RG2 would not be! We are still looking for a few new people and really need priests.
5) Why are people leaving? Main reason is that we have found a instance that actually takes time to learn and take down. And people we are learning, we have done well in BWL but we all have repair bills.
6) Even with the new people we did very well on Monday in BWL much better than last nights run.
So closing note Wake Up! Listen only to me and the Marshalls! If you have a issue contact me! And heavens sake stop your damn moaning in the runs if you saw what we Marshalls get from you.... Any way help us out please i do this in my own time, i dont have to i choose too.
Quote from: DarkAngel;157637At this time we have Priest/Rogue/Paladin and Druid Marshalls spots free.
Small Freudian slip. DA means there are CLASS LEADER spots free, not Marshall spots.
TL.
This is not a post against the marshalls, I'm aware of the fact that the new people are needed because otherwise there would not be a RG2, I do want to say to people, leaving isn't much glorious either. If you want to join a group an run through BWL adn get loot fast plz join an other guild.....
So instead of leaving, take it as an challenge to finish MC faster. And see it like this....when you finish MC earlier you wouldn't have people to leave due to work, school etc.......
And whatch were you stand.....
Quote from: Knabbel;157661So instead of leaving, take it as an challenge to finish MC faster.
My assessment would be that RG2 should be able to finish a full MC clearance in less than 3 hours. Somewhere in the 2hrs45 - 3hrs mark. I believe the challenge has been laid down, nice one Daedalus :yahoo:
TL.
I hope you didn't take my note as criticism of the leadership, DA, cause I think you guys are doing a great job there. The reason for our slip up yesterday was purely down to people not listening, and not focusing.
And as a side note to the new RG2 people: The information you can read on the boards about the different bosses and trash mobs is a gold mine. Use it, and we'll down MC faster than Raggy can say "chocolate chip cookies".
Like Jemeny (Zabard) says, read the tactics. It's will give you inside information about a fight. Then when you start the fight pieces of the puzzle come to gether. It's not that we have to do it flawless but there could be so much less flaws that ir will be beter.
When I started raiding with my paladin I came across a lot of things that I didn't even know about. But by talking with more experienced people made me more experienced my self.
The tactics also tell about why you need to do this and what happens if you don't do that....it's all logic and it's all about how you fill in your position in the raid.
This all is pretty nice but people DO need to read the forums..... and even maybe update GmotD to point them out to the forums.
Just 1 (or two) point from me.
The marshals do a great job and I dont think anybody dont agree on that.
Pls let the ones that are supposed to lead do that, but take in mind plz dont get angry in raid towards peeps. Then good peeps def may leave. Instead use the class leaders wise and let them explain to the new ones what are expected from them. That way you delegate power and you dont have to do all the work urself. I know this is the way its supposed to work but I dont think it has (not that much in priest channel that is).
Its stated that someone do their job good and others not so good. I for one would love to get directed in the right direction if peeps are annoyed of how immens porly im doing my job (in a polite way). Im shure others would do to, and that way we prosper in our efforts on our way to Nefarion. So plz wisper me if you think I heal porly and state what I should do instead.
Recruitment: we need priest, whats new :narnar:
Why peeps are leaving I think are simple. Loot and experience. Peeps dont want to do the hard way to prosper but its easy to join a guild that are furter inside the dungeons. To state this. as im shure others have, I have had the opportunity (ok its easy beeing a dorf priest) to join several guilds and the biggest eureka who have some friends of mine. ( they have done 3 bosses in naxx). Sure it could be fun to experience new bosses but its more fun to get a boss down on ur own imo.
Expences??? this is a game and the money/Gold are not real (its true its no real money).
We can do this very very good, when all pull in the same direction (lol could be taken out of a leader book there)
Im ready for our challenge and cant wait for BC to come out (I really dont know when though)

We're planning to fraps the entire MC speed run next weekend, so there should be something to watch for tactics
TL.
Well, let's not hope they pick up too many of the "pull three groups at the same time" tactics I'm sure u guys are gonna use. :D
I wonder how many of our RG2 mew people even visit the forums. Yeah last RG2 run wasn't the best run I've seen, but not because of the leadership, there was lack of focus and teamwork, i know we can do better than that.
Not going yo say much, just going to agree with OA. Well put.
And yes last night's MC was bad...very bad, started so great, but then went bad as 30 days old milk would be bad....
There comes a point when you loose too many people that are well geared and experenced that no matter how hard you try BWL (or AQ40/Naxx)will always be a struggle. Only when the gear and the experence is there over the whole raid will you fully prosper in BWL and unfortunatley than means grinding MC to bring everyone up to speed.
Rg1 went through stages like this until we got a stable core of players of (guessing 75%) who have now maxxed thier gear (to our current progression)which means when new players come in they get loads of new loot in possibly a few runs, so when we loose people the effect is negated fairly quickly.
That said, if new people in RG2 are the problem maybe the marshals should have a closer look at applicants gear and experence and set basic minimum standards of what gear people should have, so that your are not going backwards but striving to go forwards.
Maybe its a thought to use the same apply standards in both RG's, so no more this guy isn't good enuff for RG1 but will do for RG2!!
Reality Check:
In which case you'd ask people to leave a guild where they got almost full T2 and join one working on Firemaw. Can't see that happening.

U serius or is it just boss fights??
Quote from: Knabbel;157680Like Jemeny (Zabard) says, read the tactics.
Aye i would seriously like to see/hear/read how meny people have actually taken their time to read those pages on the forum for tactics?
And even if we do get em explained i cannot understand how we can fail so badly!?
It isent that hard. LISTEN, and then do it afterwords, it ISENT harder!
I hear meny listening to music while in raids, and thats no problem, i do it myselfe, but do you actualy listen what the marshals tell you about the differend tactics? and if you do how come it takes to call your name and ask you 5-6 times about the same thing and even put it in the /rw before you react!?
(i wont put up any names, or point fingers just want people to wake up and do your job!)
Nobody can do it in the first try but then do it again again and again untill it succedes!

Did you have full T1 or T2 when you started raiding MC / BWL? maby not, did the people who you raided with? maby.
Every new instance is a new beggining on hard work and patience trough new tacttics, gear gathering and doing it over and over again and again!?
