MSI K8N Diamond Motherboard
AMD Athlon 64 3500+ CPU
2 Gig RAM
nVidia 7900 GT
SoundBlaster Audigy Player
Could be wrong but that's the way TF looks? :P
Maybe it's because of the dark surroundings dunno, but doesnt seem much wrong with it.

Yeh my first thought has been to update the drivers but I already had the most recent ones...maybe I should just buy 2 more gigs of ram :roflmao: :D
I've also always seen the TF that way too :eyebrow:
However, if I ctrl-click it to see it in the wardrobe on myself, I see it correct. But I've never really bothered to check it too close, so if you find out something, let me know :flirty:

There is a known issue that will cause textures to display all black on some objects/items in-game. Most notably on the Thunderfury weapon and Cloud serpent mobs. There are two known work-arounds to display the texture properly.
# Smooth Shading
Disabling the Smooth Shading option in the video options within WoW will return the textures for some models of video cards.
# Anisotropic Filtering
If the Smooth Shading option does not seem to return the textures properly try to lower the Anisotropic Filtering setting within the video options in WoW.
Tryed both of them but it does not work <_< :g: :sad:

Well I consider myself lucky to have a ATI X800XT PE and I can say there is no NVidia chip on it....
Mine works sometimes, i can fix it by hitting default setting and thereafter setting it all up again without smooth shading enabled... but i have to do that each time i load the game for some reason, and seeing the Texture on TF isnt really that important to me..
hmm... this prob is only with nvidia chips?
bah.. i might have to re arrange the vga on the upgrade ive been planning :/

after all the money gorion put in the weapon he dindt have any money to buy the batteries for the glow effect
you can unscrew the tip of the handle and insert a few Golden power cores ( or what ever the name is exectly) if you dont put that in, no cool effect :p

I've seen the black-texture thing before in a game Star Trek Elite Force 2.
Problem was bad graphic settings.
I got a GeForce 6800GT and I can see the shiny shiny blade perfectly, so it ain't a nVidia problem.
I got a GeForce 6800 GT and I *do* have the problem.
Including the graphics errors on the flying snakes, etcetera...

Ok upgraded to 2 gigs of RAM...let's see if this changes something...

And i still get the wierd texture problem on Thunderfury.
So I'm condamned to see Thunderfury and Flying Serpents all black and without cool texture for the rest of my life? :blink:

Try using default settings. Then see what happens. The 2 GB of ram doesn't make any difference. I have the same bug as well...ah what the heck, now I see Gorion with some black thing in his hand..... I'm not even sure if it's a sword, but it's some kind of weapon :yahoo:
I tried the new client (BC one) an with the same settings I have in the live client and I actually see correctly TF textures. It must be a bug of the current client :D
I bet it's a game error :) Look at this (if I realize in how to link it :g:)...
